East Valley Cardiology is in search of skilled back office Medical Assistants for both Chandler and City of Maricopa locations. Cardiology practice experience a plus but not required. Hourly wage dependent on previous experience. Practice hours Mon.-Fri. 8:00am-5:00pm. Bi-lingual Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities Include:

• Create a warm and welcome environment for all patients
• Rooming patients/ taking vitals & EKG’s
• Interview/ Review patient medical history
• Verify and enter data into patient EMR
• Perform basic lab procedures
• Clean and prepare exam rooms
• Manage/ obtain prior auth’s for medication/ procedures
• Hospital Procedural Scheduling
• Manage phone messages/ patient medical concerns between patient and provider

Requirement:
• Certified Medical Assistant certification
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and verbal Communication Skills
• Willing to learn/ Self-motivated Attitude while still working in a team setting

East Valley Cardiology is proud to have served the Chandler location since 1990. We currently have 6 providers with a second location opened in Maricopa, AZ. We have providers who are board certified in Interventional Cardiology and also partner with highly trained physicians and Nurse Practitioners to provide excellent on-going patient care.

East Valley Cardiology is a Chandler based Cardiology Practice looking for Front Office Receptionist. Full time opportunity with starting pay depending on experience.
Hours of operation Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm, Friday 8:00am-3:30pm. Benefits package includes:

Position Responsibilities to Include (but are not limited to):

- Greet/Check-In Patients
- Verification of patient insurance eligibility, benefits and copay collection.
- Assist patient with necessary completion of new patient paperwork and accurate data entry into EMR
- Assist with answering phone and route calls appropriately.
-Schedule appointments, ensure proper prep information when needed.
- Reconciliation of daily financials.

Position Physical and Environmental requirements:

This position is a computer/desk-based job but does requires a person to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach up and stretch often. Must quickly and efficiently utilize office protocol when exposure to bodily fluids or blood is present to themselves or patients. May be required to lift heavy objects up to 25 lbs.

Required Professional Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Requires effective and accurate reading and writing skills. Typing skills average of 60 WPM.
- Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have efficient multi-tasking abilities.
- One year of previous medical office experience,
- Demonstrates positive patient and co-worker behavior/relationships for a productive and safe work environment.

**Prior Experience in Cardiology field preferred but not required.
**Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
