The Memory Care neighborhood at Atria Del Sol whipped up a tasty treat.

They channeled their inner chef to create a dessert that doesn't require any baking – a chocolate eclair cake! Just add Cool Whip, graham crackers, Jell-O vanilla pudding, chocolate and a little love.

So simple and so yummy!

Atria Lincoln Place's color run was a blast! 🫟

Residents and employees had so much fun getting messy for a great cause, supporting the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.

"It was so much fun," shares Lynn, the community's Executive Director.

This may have been their first color run, but we can bet it won't be their last.

Our Memory Care neighborhoods smelled amazing as our chefs led multisensory cooking demonstrations. Residents followed along as fresh apple butter was prepared and served on biscuits. It was a delight for our taste buds and so fun to watch!

Meet Gina, an Engage Life Program Instructor at Atria El Camino Gardens!

Her energy is contagious, her smile is uplifting, and she enjoys bringing joy to both residents and staff every day. Whether it’s a fun activity or a heartfelt conversation, Gina makes every moment count.

Did you know October is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of Polish Americans in culture, science, art and more?

Our Taste Poland event featured classic Central European flavors, including pierogies with caramelized onions, kielbasa with cucumber salad, potatoes and sauerkraut, and sernik, traditional Polish cheesecake.

We can't wait to see – and taste – the cuisine from our destination next month!

Who knew moving to Atria Seville could spark a beautiful friendship?

(Spoiler alert, we did. 😉)

Jeanne and Rickie, once strangers, now share their days filled with laughter. Whether you catch them waiting excitedly to go to meals or immersed in their art projects, their bond is truly something special. They embrace every opportunity to explore together on lunch outings and see live entertainment, and lead resident council meetings together.

Rickie says, “We’re such good friends,” and Jeanne jumps in with a chuckle, “that we finish each other’s sentences!”

Known for being an energetic, friendly and outgoing force of nature, she is always the first on the dance floor and the heart of every event, bringing joy and connection wherever she goes. Ruthie loves welcoming new neighbors, helping others feel at home and building meaningful connections.

Ruthie says it best: “I love being an ambassador because it gives me the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, each with their own unique stories, perspectives and experiences to share. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that I love to talk!”

We’re so grateful for our ambassadors, who make our communities a warmer, more connected place every day.

When Hurricane Michael destroyed Portia’s Florida home, her daughter Danna worried about what would come next. What they found was more than just a safe place to live – it was a community that celebrates Portia’s talents as an artist and creates new friendships while providing the support she needs.

“I really like that there are nurses there and there’s a doctor who comes by once a week,” Danna says. “It puts me at ease to know that there are people there in case she needs anything health-wise.”

A big celebration was held at Atria Park of Ann Arbor for Daryl's 101st birthday!

When we asked her what 101 years of life is like, she said, "It's been all over the map – I've had good times and bad times. But I'm very grateful to have lived for this long. Life is still fun!"

She likes going for rides, being with her kids, reading, sleeping, and of course, ice cream. "There is always time for ice cream," she adds.

Our Page Turners Social Series event was a hit, bringing our resident bookworms together for the chandler library coming to us and letting us know that a mobile library is coming to us soon! sharing some delicious snacks as well. We had a spin the wheel to win some different prizes, and make your own tote bag to hold our favorite books!

Paul's got the beat!

Not only is he a wonderful member of the kitchen staff at Atria Maplewood Place, but he's also a professional drummer!

He recently brought the community's courtyard to life, transporting his drum set all the way from home to share his talents with residents.

"I started banging on pots and pans as a kid before taking lessons and eventually attending Berklee College of Music," he shares. Over the years, Paul has played in all kinds of bands and even does studio work when he can.

We are so fortunate when we get to see the amazing hidden talents of our team. Thanks for sharing your music with us, Paul!

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we savored the flavors of Guatemala. Known as the birthplace of chocolate, Guatemalan cuisine blends Mayan tradition with Spanish influences to create vibrant and tasty dishes.

On the menu: tostones with guacamole, enchiladas, refried black beans, cucumber salad, and tres leches cake.

we also got our passports stamped as we completed another wonderful trip.

We can't wait to see – and taste – the cuisine from our destination next month!
