in psychology in 2005, at which point I went to work doing psychometric testing for a neuropsychologist. I went back for my Master's in Counseling, also from ASU, and graduated in 2009. After graduation I worked doing individual, family and group therapy for a community mental health agency for several years before becoming the supervisor of their intake department. I left that position to be a stay at home mom to my two sons, now 9 and 11. I worked briefly for a crisis response company doing psychological evaluations for patients in acute crisis in a hospital setting, and then during the initial COVID lockdown in 2020 I left that job to be home with my kids and assist with their distance learning. I am now returning to work part-time, and look forward to working with both adults and adolescents in individual therapy. A population that is near and dear to my heart is mothers, especially new moms, as I remember all too well the many struggles that this major life and role change can bring, as well as the hormonal changes and post partum depression, anxiety and loss of self that often accompany that transition. I also enjoy working with teens, and find it easy to remember and relate to the hard work of growing up, especially in today's society with its many unique challenges. I consider myself an inclusive therapist and human, and look forward to working with and creating a safe, accepting space for people of all races, genders, religious backgrounds, and sexual orientations. Our office is private pay only and my session rate is $160/therapy hour. We can provide the information you need for your insurance company if you plan to seek reimbursement via super bill. I will be available on Tuesdays from 3pm - 8pm to accommodate my teens in school, as well as Thursdays from 9am - 2pm. Feel free to message me with any questions, or visit the website www.lovestorytherapy.com to schedule.
