Jerry Ish Williams

Jerry Ish Williams, 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Chandler, Oklahoma, on Monday morning, August 25, 2025.

Jerry was born on April 22, 1936, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Thomas Milton and Mary Louise (Littrell) Williams. He grew up in Lexington and, at a young age, accepted Jesus as his Savior at Grace Baptist Church.

In 1953, Jerry graduated from Clark County High School in Wi******er, Kentucky, where he played basketball. After high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He later earned an associate degree in business from the University of Kentucky.

On August 16, 1970, Jerry married Mary Elizabeth Banks in Seco, Kentucky. Together, they built a loving marriage that spanned 55 years, celebrating their anniversary just days before his passing.

Jerry began his career in insurance with American Mutual in Lexington. In 1989, he and Mary relocated to Chandler, where he worked as an underwriting manager for NAICO until his retirement.

A devout and faithful Christian, Jerry was deeply committed to serving the Lord and his community. He served as treasurer at David's Fork Baptist Church and as a deacon at Glen's Creek Baptist Church, both in Kentucky, as well as treasurer at First Baptist Church in Chandler. Over the years, he also taught junior high Sunday school, sang at the Chandler Nursing Home, and faithfully volunteered for more than 20 years at the God & People’s Food Pantry in Chandler.

Outside of work and ministry, Jerry enjoyed watching sports, especially Cincinnati Reds baseball, and in his younger years, playing softball.

Jerry will be remembered as a kind and genuine man with a quick wit and sharp sense of humor. He had a gift for making others feel seen and valued, often checking in on old friends and even the friends of his children. His legacy is one of faith, service, and love for others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, two brothers, and his sister. Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Mary; brother Gil Williams and wife Julie of Florida; sister-in-law Debbie Williams of Kentucky; daughter Mary Rossdeutscher and husband Karl of South Carolina; son David Williams and wife Cheryl of Louisiana; three grandsons: Wesley, Josiah, and Brody; and two great-grandsons: Trey and Oliver.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Chandler Fire Department or God & People’s Pantry. Both organizations have meant a lot to Jerry and Mary over the years.

Joann was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, and at a young age traveled from state to state with her family, working the fields picking cotton, hops, and strawberries. After years of traveling and camping along roadsides and lakes, the family eventually settled in Carney, OK.

It was there that, during a rain shower at an outdoor movie, Joann found herself taking refuge in Sonny’s truck—a meeting that would change her life. On September 27, 1952, Joann and Sonny married, beginning a life together filled with family, hard work, and love.

Together, they raised three wonderful daughters, hosted countless tea parties for grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and ran a successful dairy farm for 32 years. A Life Well Lived

In later years, Joann traveled with her daughters to places like New York and Switzerland—and even enjoyed a Kid Rock concert. Through it all, her family remained her greatest joy.

She was able to remain at home during her final years with the loving support of her daughters, grandsons, and incredible caregivers: Beverly Clark, Terri Smith, Mattie Waldon, Torie Cartwright, and the compassionate team at Luminos Hospice.

Farewell

Her family fondly remembers her playful goodbye: “See ya later, alligator… after while, crocodile.”

Robert "Bob" William Keating

Robert William Keating, or Bob as he was known to his many friends and admirers was born on June 7, 1957, and passed away suddenly on August 14, 2025. Born the middle of seven children to Edward Jack and Marion Arlene Keating in Oklahoma City, Bob lived a life full of love, laughter, learning and adventure and he will be fondly remembered by many people in Oklahoma and around the world.

Bob graduated from Del City High School in 1975 and worked as a television repairman at Newport TV Service, which he purchased in 1978 and grew into the largest television repair service in the state of Oklahoma. He sold the business in 2011 and took college courses in order to become a certified Commercial and Industrial Real Estate Appraiser, where his work ethic and his dedication to lifelong learning led him to great success. He retired in January of this year and embarked on a life of leisure and adventure with Betty that we all expected to last at least another thirty years.

Bob was a committed and loving husband, father and grandfather and despite his long hours at work could frequently be seen in attendance at baseball, basketball and soccer games, dance and music recitals, Boy Scout events and all sorts of church and school get-togethers. He was very supportive of his children, his nieces and nephews and his grandchildren, ready with advice, kind words, a joke or a hug.

Those lucky enough to know Bob would probably highlight first his sense of humor, he was always ready with a joke, occasionally inappropriate, and a smile that would make your day. He was kind and generous with his time, his skills, his knowledge and his resources. He could fix pretty much anything and at 68 could sit cross-legged on the floor with his grandkids for hours. He loved babies and babies frequently gravitated towards his big, goofy smile, he was always ready to pay attention to any babies and children at social functions and could usually be found playing with or making faces at delighted kids, most of whom he knew.

Bob had a bewildering array of hobbies and interests over the years, from hunting and fishing to restoring motorcycles to learning how to cook traditional Asian cuisine with a wok. He always wanted to learn Spanish and had embarked on an ambitious retirement reading list–he finished Moby Dick this summer (he said it helped him go to sleep if he read it before bed) and planned to read War and Peace next.

Bob loved to travel and had many great adventures, motorcycling to rallies all over the country, taking his family on road trips to New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado, and going on legendary hunting and fishing trips with his brothers and friends. Bob loved experiencing new cultures and traveled internationally to Mexico, the Caribbean, Ireland, France, Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland. He could make friends wherever he went, from neighbors at a holiday rental in the Turks and Caicos to a veterinarian in rural Poland. Over the past few years, he and Betty enjoyed traveling via RV with friends and family to scenic spots in Oklahoma, Colorado, South Dakota and Wyoming..

Bob was a pillar of the community in Chandler and was an active member of Lions Club and Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and many other causes and was frequently the life of the party at luncheons and social events.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Arlene and his siblings James and Mary. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Betty Jean Keating, his siblings Patsy Bradford, David Keating, Larry Keating, Debbie Sinard, and Sharon Wise along with his children Mandi and Tyler Bridges, Stuart Keating and Kristina Goodwin, and his grandchildren Kinsley, Cohen and Merlin, along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom he loved very much.

The funeral will be held at 10AM on Thursday, August 21st at Our Lady of Sorrows in Chandler. As an expression of sympathy you may donate to Texas Children’s Hospital, at give.texaschildrens.org.

In 1963, while still in high school, David began serving in the Army National Guard. He continued his service until 1977, including a long tenure at Tinker Air Force Base from 1966 to 1981. During his time in the Guard, he served as a cook and was even offered the opportunity to work at the White House in Washington, D.C.—an honor he graciously declined in order to return home to Chandler. In total, David proudly served his country for 15 years.

On December 15, 1993, David married Denise Pozzuolo in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

A dedicated businessman, David owned and operated Chandler Concrete Company from 1971 to 1995. During that time and beyond, he also worked at NAICO as a collections manager, retiring in 2016 after 25 years of service.

Outside of work and service, David had a deep love for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter of deer, quail, pheasant, and dove, and he treasured his annual hunting trips with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, traveling as far as Alaska to reel in salmon and halibut. A lifelong fan of boxing, he was thrilled to have met Muhammad Ali at a Tulsa Fight Night. David also had a passion for horse racing, frequenting tracks like Re*****on Park, Fair Meadows in Tulsa, and Ruidoso Downs in New Mexico. And if there was an OSU game on, he was sure to be watching—he was a devoted supporter of all things Cowboy sports.

Above all, David was a loving man, devoted husband, and a dedicated father. Affectionately known by his nickname 'Dog,' David was a loyal and valued friend to many.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Zelda Alsip; brothers, Tom Alsip, and Dale Alsip; and a sister, Joan Alsip.

LaDonna Irene Patterson-Gidney

LaDonna Irene Patterson-Gidney, 68, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

LaDonna was born on October 14, 1956, in Chandler, Oklahoma, to Donnie “Don” Odell and Alice Irene (Danker) Patterson. She grew up in Chandler and graduated from Chandler High School in 1974. During high school, LaDonna volunteered as a “Candy Striper” at the local nursing home, where she discovered her true passion of caring for others, especially the elderly.

After graduation, she attended OSU and later UCO while always also holding down a full-time job. She held several different jobs over her life, but her desire to help others led her to go back to school to get her LPN license after her divorce when her boys were small. LaDonna dedicated her career to long-term care facilities because of the special bond she felt with the elderly. She always balanced her work with what she considered her most important accomplishment in life and that was raising her three sons.

Though she considered herself a lifelong resident of Chandler, she spent time living in Missouri and Texas when her boys were young, before settling back in Chandler around 1993. She moved with Charles to California for his job in the mid 2000’s where she had the opportunity to work at the UCLA Hospital as a temp nurse, an experience she loved but was glad to get back to the slower pace of life in Chandler when they moved back after a couple of years.

Her boys were always the light of her life and she loved watching them grow into the young men they are today. After her retirement she enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her flower beds, as well as cooking, crocheting and sewing.

LaDonna was a member of Forest Baptist Church, where she attended regularly from birth until she left for college and she continued to attend with her family any time she was home.

LaDonna was preceded in death by her father, Don O. Patterson.

She is survived by her spouse of over 20 years, Charles Ashcraft; sons, Brett Gidney and wife, Dorota, Billie (Trey) Harris, and Matthew Gidney; mother, Alice Patterson; brother, Cliff Patterson; sister, Myrna Patterson-Beasler; brother and sister-in-law, Clint and Darsi Patterson; nieces, Nikki Beasler, Jordan (Patterson) Sullins and husband, Garrett, and Josie (Patterson) Reed and husband, Hunter; nephew, Kyle Earhart and his wife, Kristen, and their two children, Ruth and Jack; as well as a host of other family members and friends.

At the family’s request, no services will be held.

Jimmie was born on May 24, 1956, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Jimmie Dale Coker Sr. and Sonya Nanette (Hancock) Coker. He graduated from Del City High School in 1975. A gifted athlete, he played football at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and East Central University before pursuing education at OSU Institute of Technology in Okmulgee, where he earned his Mechanical Contracting License.
