My name is Ashley, and I am a DONA trained labor/birth doula. I have birth experience that includes inductions, multiples, cesarean births, natural birth, and water birth in various hospitals and birth center settings. I would love to meet with you! Find me on Facebook or doulamatch.com. Empowering women and their partners to achieve the birth of their dreams, because a woman will never forget how she was made to feel while in labor. All types of birth can benefit from using a doula-hospital, birth center, c-section, home birth, etc! Numerous clinical studies have found that a doula’s presence at birth
tends to result in shorter labors with fewer complications
reduces negative feelings about one’s childbirth experience
reduces the need for pitocin (a labor-inducing drug), forceps or vacuum extraction and cesareans
reduces the mother’s request for pain medication and/or epidurals
Research shows parents who receive support can:
Feel more secure and cared for
Are more successful in adapting to new family dynamics
Have greater success with breastfeeding
Have greater self-confidence
Have less postpartum depression
Have lower incidence of abuse

Even mothers who will be having csections can benefit-ask me about family centered cesarean!

Please meet baby girl Quinn Adaline, born at home on October 9th 2015 at 5:38pm, 8 pounds 5 ounces, 21 inches. She eagerly rushed into the world to share birthdays with mommy and was born into water, caught by mommy and daddy. We are so humbled and thankful for this sweet girl!

I'm now interviewing with clients due April 2016 and beyond-contact me early as my schedule fills quickly!
