Whenever I run into Christians who have caved on the LGBT issue, some of them have done so out of fear because they were feeling the pressure from their peers and by our current culture. But in most cases, they’ve caved on this in order to avoid offending a family member, friend, or loved one who identifies as LGBT. I have no doubt that many of those who compromised on this had good intentions and they were convinced that it was the “loving” thing to do. However, love without truth is not love. Genuine love must remain grounded in the truth.
While we’re on this topic, as we see more and more people freely choosing to leave the LGBT lifestyle, this should be a wake-up call to “progressive” Christians who insist on compromising the truth of God’s Word regarding this issue. Ironically, as they attempt to convince the gay community that “God is okay with your lifestyle,” many of those precious people in the gay community are leaving that lifestyle and finding their true identity in Christ!
In this interview between Becket Cook and Katy Faust, they make SO many great points that I would encourage you to watch or listen to this podcast in its entirety, even if only a few minutes at a time. Please watch AND share the podcast at the link in the Comments below.

Is it really true that humans evolved from ape-like ancestors? Not only are our students being taught to accept this idea uncritically as a "fact," impressive museum displays throughout the world would seem to support such a notion. But as it turns out, nothing could be further from the truth. In his extraordinary book and video series, "The Grand Experiment: Human Evolution," Dr. Carl Werner provides the results of his meticulous research on this topic, which took place over a period of 26 years, traveling to the leading museums all over the world, taking thousands of photographs, and conducting interviews with 40 experts working in the field of human evolution. I have provided a link to this resource in the Comments section below.

When we engage others in respectful dialogue about important issues that shape our families, neighborhoods, and culture, it is always helpful to use the right tools in order to do so. In the following video by Frank Turek, he offers some great advice that will help us in that endeavor. Please take the next few minutes to watch and share the video with others. You will find a link in the Comments section below. You will also find a link to Greg Koukl’s book, “Tactics, 10th Anniversary Edition: A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions,” which I would highly recommend.

(When you try to keep peace at the expense of truth, you get neither. Please take a moment to read the following post by Craig Ireland):
Too many Christians, including pastors, are judging Charlie Kirk's ministry by offense, not truth. They're distancing themselves because his campus talks unsettle people, as if controversy negates Gospel impact and value.
This is backwards.
Truth offends.
Always has.
Why was Jesus crucified? He offended people. Why were the apostles martyred? They offended people. If we're unwilling to cause offense, we've chosen the wrong worldview. Scripture itself is offensive to fallen minds.
Kirk delivered what modern Christians desperately lack: courage.
We've been drowning in talk about "winsomeness." Endless chatter about "contextualisation." Constant demands for "relevance." But courage? Crickets.
Yet courage is what makes effective ministry possible. Real cultural engagement. Real evangelism. Real apologetics. Without it, winsomeness becomes cowardice dressed up in theological verbiage. Contextualisation becomes compromise with a seminary diploma.
Kirk strove for winsome. Kirk was relevant. Kirk was the most culturally engaged Christian of our generation. But what made him effective wasn't his polish. It was his backbone. He had the spine to speak complete truth in a culture that demands partial lies.
As Jesus warned: "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you" (John 15:18). Hatred and offense are the world's natural response to uncompromising truth.
That's not just ministry. That's New Testament Christianity.

“This week’s episode is the most difficult we’ve ever recorded. As an eyewitness to the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, Frank will share his firsthand account of those harrowing moments on 9/10/2025 as well as offer a tribute to Charlie’s life and legacy—a person who lived 24/7 for Jesus and courageously proclaimed truth while receiving threats against his life. Charlie loved his wife Erika and their children deeply, encouraged his closest friends through Scripture, and adamantly worked to let those in the TPUSA family know that they were valued as he modeled great leadership. He was a man of action and integrity, an evangelist and apologist, generous and kind–especially to those who opposed him, and courageous in the face of a hostile culture.” -Cross Examined
Please make it a priority this weekend to listen to the podcast and share it with others. You will find the link to the podcast in the Comments below.

We’ve just witnessed the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk and the cruel, callous comments afterward from those who are celebrating his death. Both are disturbing reminders that Christians are living at a time when our culture has become increasingly hostile to the Christian worldview, as well as any moral values associated with it. Many within our culture right now see Christians as being not simply “wrong” or “mistaken,” they see us as “evil.” That is the harsh reality that we need to come to grips with. To pretend otherwise is to live in denial.
In the face of such hostility, it’s tempting to disengage and retreat into silence. However, we have been called to be a “light” to our culture by sharing the Gospel. But we have also been called to be “salt” in our culture, preserving that which is good by advocating for the common good, out of our love for God and others. When it comes to the latter, many Christians are uncertain, even divided, on how to engage with culture and politics.
In her excellent book, “When Culture Hates You: Persevering for the Common Good as Christians in a Hostile Public Square,” author and speaker Natasha Crain not only explains why the culture hates us, she goes on to explain why it is so important for us to stay involved, rather than remaining silent on the issues that shape our families, neighborhoods, and culture. With clarity and insight, she gives sound, practical advice on how we can respond effectively and respectfully to those around us. It begins by having a better understanding- biblically, culturally, and from a civic perspective- regarding our role as Christians in today’s culture. That is, how do we persevere for the common good, even when the culture hates us?
Please make it a priority this weekend to listen to her interview with Alisa Childers as they discuss her new book, which I would highly recommend. You will find the link in the Comments section below.

Question: Do the foundations of Islam stand up under scrutiny when it comes to historical criticism? It’s a fair question, especially when we consider that the Bible and Christianity have undergone intense scrutiny by their critics throughout history. As Christians, not only do we welcome such criticism, the manuscript evidence, historical evidence, archaeological evidence, and the sciences have confirmed the biblical record time and time again. So, in all fairness, it’s important that we apply the same level of scrutiny to the foundations of Islam. In my Comments section, you will find links to some great resources dealing with this topic

Why is the world the way it is? Why are we here and how does the whole story of history—from the very beginning to the very end—fit together in a way that makes sense? In this podcast, Frank Turek of Cross Examined interviews Greg Koukl of Stand to Reason, where they discuss the following:
What is it that some Christians don't fully understand about their worldview?
What are the problems associated with the atheist's story?
What makes Christianity different from every other religion?
Does evil disprove God? Or does it point to His existence?
Is consciousness just an illusion?
Why is Jesus the only solution to humanity’s biggest problem?
What are the five essential elements that form the narrative backbone of the Christian story?
Why is the personal God of Christianity the best explanation for the world as we know it?

In the book of Genesis, it describes a global, catastrophic Flood in the days of Noah. Is there strong evidential support for this? I can't think of anyone more qualified to speak on this topic than Dr. Ron Neller, a fluvial geomorphologist (flood expert). In addition to discussing the overwhelming evidence of a massive, catastrophic Flood on a global scale, they also discuss the fossil record, how and why the Flood explains the fossil record, and why fossilization can occur in a relatively short amount of time under these conditions. Be sure not to miss this fascinating interview with Dr. Neller, which you will find in the comments section below.

Question: If a same-s*x couple asked to sleep together in your home, how would you respond to such a request? In the following podcast by Alan Shlemon, he does a great job of balancing love AND truth. In addition to Alan's excellent advice, I would like to add the following for everyone to think about. If the person making this request of you objects if you say no, notice that they are making a moral judgment as well. They are suggesting that it would be morally "wrong" for you to not allow them to do so, and that it would be morally "right" for them to engage in such behavior in your home. This, of course, requires a moral standard above both of you, in which to ground it. Without that, their objection on moral grounds becomes meaningless. Don’t forget to listen to Alan’s 7-min. podcast dealing with this topic at the link in my comments section below.
