Hello everyone, I wanted to reach out with some info about my tentative re-opening date. My goal is to re-open on July 1st. This is not a guarantee.
Cases of Covid-19 had started to level off, but businesses re-opening in early May, and Memorial day weekend have contributed to a huge spike in cases this week alone. I am also pretty convinced that with the protests happening this past week, we will see an even larger increase in cases over the next few weeks. While I absolutely agree with why people are protesting, and believe they have every right to stand up to injustice, the fact is large groups of people in close proximity to each other is breeding grounds for more infection to spread, and spread very quickly.
I'll be completely honest, I do not feel 100% comfortable with re-opening my business at all. However I will be TRYING to open at a very limited capacity starting in July. I have an autoimmune disease. Meaning I am more susceptible to catching the virus, and will have a harder time recovering from it.
There will be drastic changes to my business polices for re-opening. Some of you may not agree with my new policies. That is fine with me, you can find a new business to visit. They may come across as a bit harsh, but at this point, I do not care. It is my business, and my health, and the health of ALL of my clientele.
NEW BUSINESS HOURS
I am shortening the amount of hours and days available for scheduling massages in order to give myself time to thoroughly disinfect the entire office and treatment rooms between each and every client. New hours will be Wed-Fri 12-5pm. Every massage appointment will be scheduled with a 1-hr recovery time window after the service to ensure that there is time in between clients for the cleaning.
MASK REQUIREMENT
All clients, and therapists will be REQUIRED to wear a mask at all times inside the office and treatment rooms. This does include DURING the treatment. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule. If you do not wish to follow this rule, or take your mask off inside the office you will be asked to leave immediately. Your appointment will be cancelled, and you WILL NOT be refunded the cost of the appointment.
If you do not have a mask available to you, you can purchase a reusable cloth one from the business for $15
CLEANING FEE
As I am now required to disinfect the entire office in between every single client, I am also now required to wear a clean mask, and clean apron for every client. This results in added expenses for me as far as the laundry fees, and cleaning supplies goes.
I have raised the massage rates to accommodate the added expenses. Clients paying full price for services are not required to pay cleaning fees.
For clients who have purchased memberships, prepaid massages, or have gift certificates you will be subject to a $10 cleaning fee for EVERY SERVICE. This cleaning fee will be invoiced at the time of your booking and must be paid before your scheduled appointment time. If it is not paid by the morning of your appointment, the appointment will be cancelled, and that service will be be forfeit
NEW CANCELLATION POLICIES
All clients will be required to fill out a Covid-19 intake form before their appointments. This will need to be updated for every appointment. If you have been feeling sick, had a fever, cough, or any related symptoms of Covid-19 your appointment will be cancelled and you will be able to reschedule when you are feeling better. You will not lose your prepaid service for these types of cancellations. However you will be in charge of paying the cleaning fee again if applicable.
Any other reasons for cancellations are subject to regular cancellation policy. If cancelling within 24 hrs of scheduled appointment time, the service is forfeit and there are no refunds.
