Somewhere along the way, women were handed the message that we should be able to do everything.

Work.
Care for everyone.
Run the house.
Hold the emotional space for the family.
Remember birthdays.
Be strong.
Be calm.
Be productive.
Be grateful.

And somehow… never be tired.

But the truth is: doing it all was never the goal.

Many of the women I work with are incredibly capable. They’ve spent years holding everything together for everyone else. And what I hear most often in my office is not “I want to do more.”

It’s:
“I’m exhausted.”
“I just want a little peace.”
“I want someone to take care of me for a change.”

And that’s not weakness.
That’s wisdom.

It’s okay to rest.
It’s okay to ask for help.
It’s okay to stop trying to be the one who holds the entire world together.
