Disappointment often arises when we become too attached to a specific outcome or expectation. It’s a question that often surfaces in moments of despair, self-doubt, and self-reflection: Am I broken, God? For so many of us, there is an underlying feeling that something is “wrong” with us, that we don’t measure up, or that we’re somehow flawed at the core. Life’s experiences—painful traumas, mistakes, and all the times we’ve felt like we’ve failed—can leave us feeling shattered, sometimes even irreparably. This feeling of brokenness seems to build walls around our true selves, hiding our inherent value and casting doubt over the wholeness that lies within. But I’m here to remind you that feeling broken doesn’t mean that you are broken. In fact, there’s nothing broken about you.
