Big shoutout to Andy for hitting his 2-year milestone with us! 🔧

Whether he’s deep into a install or sharing a laugh with the crew, Andy brings a level of consistency that’s rare to find. It makes total sense when you realize he’s been logged into the same PC game server since 2001! 🎮

That "pro" work ethic started early, too. Long before he was a master under the hood, Andy was an 11-year-old entrepreneur running the "Lawn Lizards"—a neighborhood lawn care empire right here in Fairfax City. 🦎🌱 From pulling wagons of gear as a kid to keeping our shop running smooth today, Andy is the definition of dedicated.

We had the pleasure of working on Susan’s vehicle to improve her transfer process.

Right now, she is transferring into the driver’s seat, then over to the passenger seat to store her wheelchair, and back into the driver’s seat again. The issue was this center console. It was too tall and made that movement really difficult for Susan.

So our goal was to modify it by lowering the console while keeping it fully functional and, most importantly, safe.

It’s all about creating a smoother, more accessible way for Susan to get behind the wheel.

Our team had an incredible time at the 2026 NMEDA Conference and Expo. Thank you to the vendors and providers who took the time to connect with us, attend our sessions, and continue important conversations about adaptive mobility.

Representing our driver rehab program were Tammy Phipps and Trista Windows. They co hosted a presentation together and each presented independently. Joining them was Jake Winpigler, representing DRCE Mobility Solutions.

Thank you National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) for hosting this event and continuing to promote innovation. A special thank you to Susie Touchinsky of Adaptive Mobility Services for co presenting with us. We truly value the opportunity to collaborate and share insights with leaders in our industry. Opportunities for collaboration like this are invaluable to our industry, and we are excited to see what the rest of 2026 has in store!

We are back to show you more of this awesome project we completed for Tyrell. Have questions about what these modifications do? Just ask!

In this BraunAbility 2025 Chrysler Pacifica, our team installed:
• An Unoccupied Wheelchair Restraint System and 6 Way Power Transfer Seat Base with Dual Controls from BraunAbility
• A Nutec Rehab Inc. Chest Strap
• Featherlite Push Rock Hand Controls with AVQ Remote Secondaries and a Tri Pin steering device from Sure Grip Hand Controls
• A brake light indicator and IDS Smart View mirrors

We’re so excited to see this project officially complete! 🎉

This driver came to us from our friend and is officially road-ready. Tyrell is rolling out of our NMEDA QAP–certified shop in a brand new BraunAbility 2025 Chrysler Pacifica, complete with a fold-out ramp for easy ingress and egress.

We added hand controls from Sure Grip Hand Controls , a chest strap from NuTect Rehab, plus a few extra bells and whistles to make this ride just right.

Meet Austin Lee, Auto Adaptive Equipment Technician Apprentice for DRCE Mobility Solutions.

Austin’s journey with us began in the summer of 2023. While in college pursuing a degree in Psychology of Exercise, he interned with us during the summer of 2023 and again in the summer of 2024. After graduating in May 2025, he officially joined our team full-time in August as a Technician Apprentice, where he spends time learning to install and repair the equipment we sell. With a long-standing interest in cars, custom modifications, and engineering, Austin brings passion and dedication to the team. We’re excited to have him with us!

Meet Andy Maloch, Auto Adaptive Equipment Technician for DRCE Mobility Solutions.

Andy joined the DRCE team in 2024, bringing a massive depth of technical knowledge to our shop. With around 15 years of experience in the electrical field and powerlines, after a rewarding two-year chapter as a stay-at-home dad, he returned to his passion for working with his hands and automotive mechanics. As an Auto Adaptive Equipment Technician, Andy applies his decades of expertise to intricate vehicle installs, diagnostics, and custom fabrication. His extensive background in heavy-duty electrical work ensures that every modification is executed with the precision and reliability our clients depend on.
