Story: Something magical happens when you combine youth and elders. The choir was singing and some residents started singing with them . We always enjoy their talents.

Activity: Coffee and Conversation

Story:
The coffee pot was already humming when the first residents arrived, the warm scent of fresh brew mingling with the sweetness of donuts laid out on bright napkins. Country music played softly in the background—familiar songs that stirred memories and set an easy, welcoming rhythm for the morning. Chairs were pulled close, cups were filled, and just like that, the room shifted from quiet to connected.
Coffee Chat is more than a snack and a playlist. It’s where stories find their way back to the surface. One resident taps their fingers to the music, another hums along, and suddenly someone remembers dancing to that very song at a county fair years ago. Laughter follows—real, belly laughter—the kind that comes from being seen and heard. Conversations drift from family memories to favorite singers, from yesterday’s weather to plans for the afternoon. No one is rushed. No one is alone.
Moments like these remind us that social connection is just as nourishing as the coffee in our cups. Over donuts and country tunes, friendships grow, spirits lift, and residents are reminded that they belong to a community that values their voices and their stories. Sometimes, the most meaningful activities are the simplest ones—shared tables, familiar music, and time spent together.

Activity: Making Valentine Sugar Cookies.

Story: We rolled out Sugar cookies and did cut out cookies . Therapy joined . We had many laughs. This brings back special memories for many of them. The best part they were delicious.

Story: Spending that one to one time is special. We enjoyed talking about her past work. She had many stories to tell . As you can see some where very funny. Love her smile .
