The Carolina Center for Neurostimulation is recruiting research participants aged 50 and older for a study exploring memory, sleep, and aging in older adults. If you are not diagnosed with a neurological, psychiatric, or sleep disorder, you may qualify to participate in a pilot research study investigating the use of non-invasive, weak electrical current to stimulate memory formation and improve memory recall in adults. https://redcap.link/CHARGE
You are not eligible if…
• You are younger than 50 years of age
• You have hearing aids or any other implanted device or metal in your head
• You have a cardiac pacemaker
• You are experiencing an alcohol use disorder
• You are not willing to abstain from alcohol at least 24 hours before each study visit
• You have, at any point in your life, been told by a healthcare provider that you have a neurologic disease
• You have had brain surgery of any kind
• You have, at any point in your life, been told by a healthcare provider that you have a psychiatric disease
• You have been told by a healthcare provider that you have a pulmonary, cardiac, liver, or kidney condition.
• You work or have worked night shifts in the last three months
• You regularly go to bed after midnight or have often done so within the last three months
• You have used psychotropic treatment medicines or recreational drugs within the last three months
• You have had any past adverse reactions to TMS
What will happen next:
