Juneteenth serves as a reminder that the fight for freedom is ongoing. We invite you to take some time to reflect on the daily commitments we can make to continue the fight towards justice and equality.

Here are some of the practical ways to show up and commit to being a strong ally and advocate:

1.) Educate Yourself and Others: Take some time to learn about what Juneteenth commemorates and share what you learn with family and friends. Watch documentaries and read books that amplify the voices of Black creators and educators.

2.) Support Black-Owned Businesses: Make a conscious effort to buy from Black-owned businesses and use this as a way to build economic allyship that can continue throughout the year.

3.) Make a Commitment to Act Beyond Juneteenth: Reflect on ways that systemic racism might show up in your daily life or within your community. Challenge yourself to have difficult conversations with others about race and privilege. Work towards positive change through advocacy, voting, and organizing.

🏳️‍⚧️Happy Pride Month🏳️‍🌈

As we settle into the month, it is so important to remember that Pride did not begin as a celebration but as protest to demand equality.

We strongly believe that everyone deserves safety and the freedom to be the truest version of themselves. This is why we continue to make the commitment to stand together and fight for equality every single day of the year. We truly are stronger when we come together and fight for what is right.

🩷🏳️‍⚧️🩵

Join us as we celebrate and honor the strength and resilience of trans and gender diverse people today and every day.

We also must recognize that many trans folks do not feel safe being visible right now. There has been an increased threat to trans rights and safety this year and we know that this has caused a huge toll on physical and mental wellbeing. We must fight back against the hateful policies and messages that are being spread around. This starts by challenging transphobia when you see it and advocating for trans inclusive policies.

Whether you can be visible today or not, remember that you matter and we will all keep fighting for a better future🩷

In a world filled with uncertainty, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the things that are out of our control.

In the midst of the chaos, try to channel your focus on what’s within your control. This can include our mindset, actions, boundaries, and the way that we care for ourselves and others. Remember, you are not alone in navigating this world 🌎💙

Our team had a blast gathering at The Unscripted Igloos on the patio! We shared lots of belly laughs, delicious food and gifts. It makes our jobs easier when the people you’re surrounded with are this great. And yes, even baddies get saddies. 🤣🎄 happy holiday season from all of us! December is Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) awareness month ❄️

With less daylight and colder weather, seasonal changes can have a big impact on mood and energy levels. Researchers are still determining exactly what causes SAD but they believe symptoms may occur due to lower serotonin, increased melatonin levels, and disrupted circadian rhythms due to more hours of darkness and less daylight hours.

If you are experiencing symptoms of SAD, please know that you are not alone. Talking with a therapist can also offer some additional support to get through these difficult months 🩵

☕️How do you fill your cup?

When stress levels are high, it can be difficult to take time for yourself. According to the American Institute of Stress, 43% of adults have reported feeling more anxious this year compared to previous years.

In a world where many things seem out of our control, we want to challenge you to take a moment to focus on what you can control in your daily life. You deserve to rest and refuel 💛
