We love to see teamwork in motion!

Last Friday, our second- and third-year DPT students volunteered to assist in the first years’ Introduction to PT Interventions lab on Transfers and Gait Training. This collaboration allowed first-year students to apply their new skills to patient case examples while receiving mentorship and real-time feedback.

A huge thank you to the second and third years for sharing your time, knowledge, and encouragement — this lab wouldn’t have been possible without you!

Alex Maturino, Hilbert Nguyen, Sophie Osada, and Morgan McKinley, 2nd year physical therapy students in our program, presented to rising 6th graders at McDougle Middle School about the physical therapy profession. They gave a short presentation and then had the kids talk through a case, perform the single leg hop test, and perform dual-tasking exercises which was a fan favorite. Our students enjoyed this opportunity to share an overview of what it means to be a physical therapist and look forward to more opportunities like this in the future!
