Our maintenance team is made up of those people. Day in and day out, they give so much of themselves — often without recognition, never without care.

Since Storm Chantal, they’ve carried even more: the weight of sudden challenges, long days, and the unseen burdens that come with restoring what’s been shaken. Yet they met it all with grace and grit, never stepping back, always stepping forward. Their presence has been a quiet reassurance to us all — a reminder that true strength is steady, humble, and often unspoken. We are not only thankful for what they do — we are deeply grateful for who they are.🛠️💚

🎉We’re proud to announce a Deficiency Free 2025 Medicare Recertification Survey at Carol Woods! 🌟

From June 23rd through June 26th, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services conducted our annual Recertification Survey for certified Medicare beds. These surveys are guided by federal regulations from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and state laws, focusing on resident care, services, and safety.

This year’s survey focused on the third floor of Building 4 in our Health Care Center and included comprehensive reviews of:

✔️ Nursing and Certified Nursing Assistant services and documentation
✔️ Dining and nutrition services
✔️ Housekeeping and sanitation
✔️ Rehabilitation services
✔️ Financial procedures
✔️ Infection control measures
✔️ Emergency preparedness protocols

We are thrilled to share that the survey team found no areas of concern — resulting in a Deficiency Free Survey! ✅

This exceptional outcome is a direct reflection of the hard work, dedication, and professionalism our staff demonstrates every day. We are deeply grateful to each and every team member who contributes to making Carol Woods a safe, caring, and high-quality home for our residents. 💚
