A day late, but our appreciation is always right on time. 💐💗

Yesterday, we celebrated the incredible mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and mother figures who have shaped lives with love, wisdom, strength, and grace. Thank you for the countless ways you make Carolina Meadows feel like home.

🎶 Yesterday’s Cinco de Mayo celebration at Carolina Meadows brought music, laughter, dancing, and so much joy to our community! 🇲🇽🌮🎺

A traveling mariachi band performed throughout campus for residents and staff, creating smiling faces, and festive moments around every corner.

Thank you to the talented musicians who shared their energy and spirit with us and helped make the day so special!

Have you ever been lucky enough to attend one of Carolina Meadows Book Sales?

From the moment the doors open, the energy is contagious—tables filled with wonderful books just waiting to be discovered, and neighbors coming together to browse, share recommendations, and celebrate the joy of reading. There’s nothing quite like that feeling of finding the perfect book you didn’t even know you were looking for.

A huge thank you to everyone who work so hard behind the scenes. The time, care, and dedication it takes to sort, organize, and display so many books does not go unnoticed.

Our lobby acoustics did not disappoint as we were treated to an impromptu concert by The Christopher Wren Singers of William & Mary. Founded in 1987, they are the oldest student-run a ca****la group at the College of William & Mary.

CM welcomed Duke University’s Hoof ’n’ Horn (for the second time), the oldest student-run musical theater group in the South. They presented an evening of Golden Age Broadway favorites including songs from beloved musicals of the 1950s-60s. What treat! https://www.hoofnhorn.org/

Join us in celebrating our incredible resident, Virginia Ives, who has spent more than six decades soaring the skies as a flight attendant. From takeoffs to touchdowns, her journey has touched countless lives along the way. We are so proud to have her as part of the Carolina Meadows community—now that’s what we call a lifetime of first-class service!

Carolina Meadows is proud to celebrate our longstanding support of PBS North Carolina and the incredible impact it brings to our community. ✨

This year the committee help raise well over its goal of $85,000 to the tune of $211,530. Resident support of public broadcasting ensures access to trusted programming, lifelong learning, and meaningful storytelling for all.

We were especially honored to welcome some familiar faces from PBS North Carolina to Carolina Meadows for a recent check presentation, marking this meaningful milestone together.
