Frank O Connor - Mindfulness and Music

Frank O’Connor was born in County Cavan, Ireland and started his musical career at the age of six. He has an innate talent as a pianist and has mastered other instruments including the tin whistle and guitar. He is a renowned composer, winning several awards in International Song Contests. With his life-long ambition to perform in the United States, Frank gave up his job as a law enforcement offic

er to follow his dream. O’Connor’s signature style was noticed during a performance in Orlando, when he was invited by Universal Studios to perform for the grand opening celebration. His opening night performance resulted in a contract with Universal and his first solo album “Frank O’Connor Live.”
O’Connor is an extremely versatile artist with a charismatic personality who has turned his musical style into an International export. In addition to his CD recordings, O’Connor wrote and recorded the soundtrack for the movie “Ivory,” which appeared in the 1998 New York Independent Film Festival. His CD, “Journey to Tir na nOg” A Celtic Odyssey showcases his broad talent. With its bewitchingly melodic instrumentals, this collection of haunting songs instantly transports the listener to “Tir na nOg” – The Land of Eternal Youth. His newest album “Celtic Paradise” is available on the Global Journey label (www.global-journey.com) and a live album “Live at Lefty O Doul’s” is available at his live venue at Lefty O Doul’s in San Francisco. Frank has been a resident piano player/entertainer at Lefty O’Doul’s in San Francisco for the past 10 years. Not only is Frank a gifted musician, playing requests from a library of over 500 songs (everything from Frank Sinatra to Coldplay), but his quick wit and interactive style allows Frank to create a fun-filled environment. The unique Lefty’s experience that Frank creates has inspired a legion of followers – including many world-wide visitors who make special trips back to San Francisco just to see him. You can find him at Lefty O’Doul’s every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Francis O Connor here. I'm sharing our Tuesday Zoom Chant Meditation for this week. The Deep Peace chant is from an Irish Gaelic Blessing.
"Deep peace of the running wave to you
Deep peace of the flowing air to you
