In our latest newsletter, we’re celebrating the graduation of 12 determined students from Saint Antoine School. Thanks to scholarships supported by Family Health Ministries donors, these students are now stepping into bright new futures. 📚❤️

We also highlight how FHM partners with Father Joseph and the Sisters of St. Antoine to keep hope alive in the community—from rebuilding the school after the earthquake to supporting the women’s health clinic named in honor of one of the sisters. 🌿

✨ 2024: What We Did—Together! ✨

Last year, with your support, we cared for 2,207 patients, performed 658 ultrasounds, and welcomed 122 beautiful babies into the world.

These aren't just numbers—they're lives touched, families strengthened, and futures changed!

We also launched a Hypertension Clinic to fight silent killers and broke ground on a brand-new Surgical Suite to expand critical care.

We did all of this—together.

Thank you to our donors, partners, and supporters who make this mission possible.

🎉 We Did It! 🎉

Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve reached our fundraising goal of $15,000 for nursing education—and with a generous match from the Haiti Nursing Foundation, that total has now doubled to $30,000!

This means full scholarships for 8 students at FSIL Nursing School, one of Haiti’s top-rated institutions for nursing education. These scholarships don’t just support individual students—they help build a stronger, more resilient healthcare system for Haiti.

Whether you donated, shared our campaign, or kept us in your prayers, we are deeply grateful. Your generosity is creating lasting change in the lives of these future nurses—and in the communities they’ll go on to serve.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

💙 Celebrating the Heart of Healthcare in Haiti

Today, on , we honor the incredible nurses who serve with compassion, resilience, and expertise — especially those working with Family Health Ministries in Haiti.
From delivering babies in rural clinics to providing critical care in underserved communities, these nurses are the backbone of healthcare. 🇭🇹 Their dedication transforms lives every single day.

To every nurse:
Thank you for your strength, your skill, and your heart.
We see you. We celebrate you.

👩🏾‍⚕️👨🏾‍⚕️ To our nurses:
You are the heart of healing.
You are the light in uncertainty.
You are hope in human form.

✨ And today, YOU can stand with them.
TODAY is the final day to support our Friends of Nurses campaign — a peer-to-peer effort funding scholarships for nurses in Haiti.

📅 Every gift matters.

The results are in! 🥁

FHM’s Executive Director crushed the Cooper River Bridge Run—finishing just over 54 minutes, which was 6 minutes under her goal time! 🎯Huge congrats, Elizabeth Kurtgeri! 🎉

“Thank you SO much to everyone who supported me—through this race and my fundraising journey.
A special shoutout to my husband Jay Kurtgeri and my brother for running with me AND to my incredible friend Tess Griswold for joining me in my fundraising campaign!
These kinds of campaigns mean so much because they remind me how lucky I am to be surrounded by such an incredible community of family and friends. I truly can’t thank you all enough!” –Elizabeth

There’s still time to help her hit her fundraising goal! 💌

What a weekend!! 🌊🏅

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our incredible Board Chair David Walmer for not only completing the 2.5mi open-ocean swim from Nevis to St. Kitts—which was his goal and not an easy feat alone— but for also placing second in his age group!!🏊‍♂️🎉 The support from his family and friends carried him through the entire swim.🙌

"There were a couple of times in the middle and at the end when the waves or the current got a little challenging, but each time I remembered all the names of the people—current and past relationships— who stepped up to encourage and support us & it helped me settle back into a rhythm. I took you with me and was grateful that you were masters of telepathy."✨💪

Meanwhile, our Executive Director Elizabeth Kurtgeri was busy continuing her training for the 10K Cooper River Bridge Run happening this Saturday. She’s running with a heart full of purpose, raising awareness and funds for future Haiti nurses, especially during such a critical time in Haitian history. 🇭🇹👟

There's still time to donate and we are SO close to hitting our goal! As of this morning, FHM has raised $11,995 for FSIL nursing scholarships, meaning we are just over $3,000 from hitting our goal! Visit https://p2p.onecause.com/friendsofnursesinhaiti/challenge to make a donation and to learn more. We're beyond grateful for your support!💚
