We LOVE using multisensory experiences during our therapy sessions. Why is this important?
🗣️ Helps Kids Remember What They Learn
When children use more than one sense—like seeing, hearing, and touching—they’re more likely to remember what they’ve learned. This is especially helpful in speech therapy, where kids are learning new sounds, words, and ways to communicate.
🗣️ Supports All Kinds of Learners
Every child learns in their own way. Some do best by seeing things, others by hearing, and some by doing hands-on activities. Multisensory learning includes all of these, making it easier for every child to understand and grow their communication skills.
🗣️ Keeps Kids Interested and Focused
Learning that’s fun and interactive keeps kids more engaged. When children are enjoying an activity, they’re more likely to pay attention—and that leads to better learning of language!
Some examples of multisensory experiences include sensory boxes, touch ‘n’ feel books, musical puzzles as well as crafts.
