Come on out to support local business!!!

Rain doesn't stop us! Right now the forecast is calling for a little drizzle and maybe some wind. There's still time for that to change but we like to keep you updated!

All of our activities will still be running tomorrow! We're even adding a new one: the cutest rain outfit contest. Stop one of our volunteers and have them take your pet's picture to enter! We'll grab your phone number to call you for a fun prize later if you win.

There's only one change in place: your pets may not come out of the lure course looking spotless. They may get a little muddy running around! Bring your raincoat, a towel, and an umbrella. We can't wait to see you for the best day ever!

Rude yelling behavior to the staff will not be tolerated. Telling me you don’t care about someone that died is just plain cruel. Client did not care that we closed for a loss of an important client. Threatening people and a business is not becoming.

You will be banned from this property and business. God bless your next Veterinarian.

We will close at noon today for Mr Buce Dillon funeral arrangements.

He truly was one of a kind. This has hit our staff hard.

The world lost a light yesterday. Our staff are dealing with the loss of a long time client. He would come by just to visit. He played Santa at our Christmas event. He came so much the girls would start his coffee if they saw his truck pull in. He will truly be missed. He knew all of Docs dogs. “Lollipop” was his favorite. The highlight of his day was giving her hell about Clemson football.
RIP Bruce. We love you

🚨 FOSTERS NEEDED 🚨

We are up to 290 animals in our care and still having to turn away multiple animals in need every day due to tight space and resources. Fosters are critical right now!

Fostering info:
🩵 ALL supplies, food, and meds are provided by Final Victory.
🩵 You must be 18+ and within driving distance of Columbia, SC to foster.
🩵 If you are interested in giving a pet a FOREVER home, please fill out the ADOPTION application.

➡️ Apply to foster or adopt at finalvictoryrescue.com

Already a FVAR approved foster?
➡️ Text 803-983-5649 to connect with our foster coordinator, check availability, and set up a foster pick up appointment.

Did you know?:

🐾 Our fosters range from age 18 to well into 80’s. We work with both fosters and adopters to carefully match our animals with the lifestyle, schedule, household, and preferences that fit everyone's needs.

🐾 Many of our fosters (and adopters) work full-time jobs! We encourage and appreciate crate training and never expect fosters to be with our animals 24/7. Decompressing in a home and receiving love when humans are home is incredibly beneficial!

🐾 Foster periods range from about a week to several months. If you are unable to foster until adoption or are going on vacation, we will work to find another foster or make a spot for your foster at our facility. You will never be “stuck” with a FVAR foster animal.

Thank you for helping us save lives! 🐶🐱

❤️❤️ Foster Home Needed for Flapjack ❤️❤️
📍 NY / NJ / PA / CT

Just weeks ago, Flapjack was curled up under his cot, hiding his head away from the world. Today, he’s trotting proudly through the vet’s office, jumping like a little pony, and even cuddling with the vet’s own dog. 🐾💕

His transformation is breathtaking. Flapjack has discovered that love feels good, gentle hands are safe, and friendship is real. The goofy, playful spirit he kept hidden for so long is finally spilling out, and it’s pure magic to witness. ✨

But Flapjack can’t continue this journey in vet boarding. He needs a foster home, a space where his healing can blossom into the whole, joyful life this gentle, remarkable soul deserves.

Here’s what you should know about him:
🐶 Dog-friendly
🐱 Cat-friendly
💖 Playful, bouncy, affectionate
⚖️ 43 pounds, fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped

Flapjack is ready. He needs you.

🎥 Don’t miss his video in the comments; his happy bounce will melt your heart.

➡️ Register to foster: houndsinpounds.org/foster
➡️ Already registered? Email info@houndsinpounds.org and let us know you’re ready to open your home to Flapjack.

Because when you foster, you don’t just give a dog a place to stay, you genuinely give them their future. ❤️🐾
