Not all emotional dysregulation wants calm.
Sometimes, it wants to scream, thrash, cry, or throw hands (at unsuspecting pillows).
If calming down isn’t working, stop forcing it.
Your nervous system might need movement, noise, mess, release before it can find calm.
Meditation is cool.
So is rage-dancing in your kitchen like a feral woodland creature.
