With deep love and gratitude, we remember Erlinda Tandingan Villena-Dizon, who peacefully passed away on the morning of September 18, 2025, at the age of 70 in Iowa City, Iowa.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Erlinda Dizon will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City with Reverend Tome Heathershaw officiating. Erlinda will be laid to rest in the Philippines, where she will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.

A funeral service for James Mitchell will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Charles City with longtime family friend Pastor Bill Bernau officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City and continue one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.

Loretta will be buried next to the love of her life (her husband Harley), at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City. Memorials may be directed to the family.

True to his nature, he never allowed the disease to define him. Instead, he faced each day with grit, humor, and an unshakable will to defy the odds and live life to the fullest.
