TENANT SPOTLIGHT 🎉
Sue was raised east of Charles City and graduated from Charles City High School. She obtained her bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from Luther College, and worked as a farmer and for the Charles City Press.
She enjoys reading, collecting coins and stamps, and studying history. Along with this, Sue enjoys movies. Among her favorites are WWII, Civil War and western movies – especially John Wayne! She enjoys her quiet time, reading, and watching the clouds and all weather. M*A*S*H and Hogan’s Heroes, along with old game shows also rank in her favorites. And Sue most certainly enjoys her Church activities, such as bible study, which she attends weekly.

A few weeks ago, Tayler was alterted to some baby bunnies whose nest was mowed over. Tayler and Pam caught two and took them into Riverside. (Much to the delight of many tenants!) After a couple days and knowing they could eat big bunny food and drink water, they released them near the nest. We all are hoping for the best. We may never know, but caring is what we do best. ❤️🐇

We would like to take a moment to thank all of the brave men and women that keep us safe. This photo is not ours, but shows just a glimpse of Charles City last night. Sadly we experienced a fire at our external corporate office during the Covid pandemic and are forever grateful for fire fighters, law enforcement, ambulance crews, and dispatchers. Last evening on Main Street could have been much worse but the dedication of many keeps Charles City safe. Thank you again to all!

Tenant Spotlight - Mary Jean Zilm
Mary Jean was raised on a farm six miles northeast of Colwell and married her (now late) husband, Marlin in 1960. To this marriage the couple welcomed two children, Douglas and Jana (also now deceased). They were also blessed with one grandson, Hunter (now age ten).
Mary Jean attended Hamilton Business College and went on to work in the purchasing department at Fort Dodge Labs in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where she resided for over 50 years. She also worked as an insurance agent and lived in Nebraska and South Dakota.
In her spare time, Mary Jean enjoys crosswords and playing BINGO with the other tenants here at Riverside Senior Living.

Much to the delight of our Riverside family, we had a visit from the Gray's and three of their 7 week old CaveInn Labrador puppies. 🥰🐕

This week we had visitors who are not only related to one of our tenants, but one of them, Amy, was our administrative secretary a few years ago. We enjoyed visiting with Amy, her husband Bruce, and their son Jackson, along with loving on their puppy Reeses! And boy, did we have entertainment from their talented son! Use volume! ❤️ (Facebook only allowed one video to be posted at a time...so please enjoy all 4! 😅)
