We celebrated and congratulated our CDS department chair, Dr. Rebecca Throneburg, as she officially retires from EIU! After more than 30 years at EIU, Becky’s contributions will continue to be felt in her work across campus and in the CDS department for many years to come. With a smile on her face, Becky would support, assist, and mentor colleagues and students in any way needed. CDS and EIU wish Dr. Throneburg the best in retirement!💙🤍🐾

Did you know at the EIU CDS clinic you’ll have the opportunity to work with adults? 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️
As a grad student, you can gain hands-on experience with adult clients with various diagnoses in either one-on-one or in adult group sessions. 🤝👥
This experience will help you explore what populations and settings you might be interested in as you grow as a clinician! ✨📚
Today, our adult group worked hard playing Would You Rather to target skills like oral expression 🗨️, auditory comprehension 👂, social communication 💬, self-advocacy 🧠✨, and motor speech! 👄👏 We love our adult clients!💙🤍
