Season's Greetings from the MUSC NICU Fellows! 🎄🎅🏼🕎🎁🎉

We've had an amazing year caring and learning from the babies. We attended numerous deliveries, refined our procedural skills, and led ECMO rounds! This year was fantastic, despite the NICU golf cart breaking down and keeping us on our toes (literally!) 🏃‍♀️

Third years Jeff and Christine are doing big things for our little patients! They recently presented at the MUSC Neonatal Pharmacology conference hosted by our wonderful NNP group with professionals attending from all over the country. We are so proud of our amazing fellows!

We had an amazing weekend focused on POCUS! Providers from CHOP joined us to teach point-of-care ultrasound skills and share how this tool can enhance bedside care. We’re so grateful for this collaborative relationship and hope to welcome them back soon!

Did you know our program has a formal POCUS curriculum and credentialed attendings? Don’t forget to “probe” us about how we use ultrasound in the unit during your interview day!

Teaching our wonderful pediatric residents to be NRP MVPs! 👶🏻🫀🫁

Jeff and Tammy (3rd year fellows) teamed up with Dr. Osborne (NICU attending) to teach NRP skills to the pediatric residency program!

Our fellows play a huge role in resident education and we have plenty of opportunities to do so!
