Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern West Virginia is a non-profit organization that provides essential services to families whose children are facing medical conditions and treatments – including but not limited to – RSV, NICU, and Premature Birth Effects. Volunteer opportunities at RMHC include but are not limited to Guest Services, Kitchen, Hospitality, and Facility Volunteering.

Heart + Hand Outreach Ministries is a community-based organization that provides donations of clothing, food, household essentials, furniture, and monetary assistance to neighbors in need. Volunteer opportunities at Heart & Hand include working in the food pantry, organizing food drives, sorting and processing donations, leading classes, and organizing the thrift store.

As of 2021, Juneteenth is a nationally recognized holiday, but unfortunately, many Americans are still uneducated on this special day, and what it means for our African American community 😔🗓

Senator Joe Manchin has announced that City of Charleston, WV will receive $500,000 from the Department of Labor (DOL) for the city's new workforce development program! 💰💛

These funds will aid in the building-renovation and launch of the Hope Community Development Corporation (Hope CDC)'s Affiliate Workforce Center, which will be a workforce development, career training, and job placement center for citizens. 🙌

Hope CDC will assist citizens who face disadvantages economically, with obtaining good-paying jobs. Their goal is to make 50 new job placements per year.

This workforce development board is dedicated to helping community members achieve their educational and/or career goals. Whether it's earning a degree, or training employees, Kanawha County American Job Center wants to help you succeed 🎓👏

​KCAJC's goal is to increase the number of Charleston Westside adults, youth and displaced workers who access programs through the Workforce Development Board of Kanawha County (WDBKC) by at least 300 individuals by June 30, 2026 ✔️
