Our very own Dr. Connie Guille recently spoke with Live 5 News about H.E.A.R. 4 Mamas:
“We’re learning a lot of things along the way already, which is that women are really appreciative of just having someone that they can call,” she says. “We’re catching early warning signs of potential postpartum complications and getting people to appropriate care so although we aren’t seeing results of the study, yet, we’re seeing positive results.”

"Women are 'feeling like they are not being heard, (that) their concerns are not valid,' she said. If that doesn't change, 'then they don't want to tell us about what's going on, and they don't want to present for care because they feel like they're going to be dismissed. And so what can happen is, then their concerns are just going unnoticed or unaddressed, and it's leading to further complications and some poor outcomes.'"

This quote comes from our very own Dr. Connie Guille, in conversation with The Post and Courier about H.E.A.R. 4 Mamas. "It still takes a village to raise a child, and even if we step back before parenthood, humans are social creatures," Aujla said. "Once children are involved or expanding families, then it truly still does take a village, which unfortunately, I think has been dissolving over decades or shifting in some ways, and for some families can be really hard to find."

This quote is from our very own Dr. Rubin Aujla from an article from The Post and Courier about The Kinry Club, a new Mount Pleasant social club to help young families combat isolation and challenges.
