As our healthcare landscape changes, there are several benefits for patients and their families to receive professional medical care, such as skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and chronic condition management within the comfort of a patient's home instead of a hospital, doctor’s office, or other facility.

From improved physical and emotional well-being to increased independence, patients and their caregivers can rest easy knowing we come to you to help you safely recover from an illness, injury, or surgery faster, control symptoms of a chronic medical condition, manage medications, and improve movement and functionality to enjoy a better quality of daily living.

Home health care can help when you or a loved one faces difficulty leaving home, requires regular health monitoring, has experienced a recent decline in health, or has complex medical needs.

For more information on how Home Health of West Virginia can help you and your loved ones, please give us a call at 304-400-4020.

As a Home Health of West Virginia patient, your goals are our top priority. We work directly with you and your doctor or other provider to create a care plan that best meets your individual needs and goals.

We will provide or arrange for you to receive all the home care needs listed in your care plan, including services and medical supplies. Your home health team and provider will review your care plan as often as necessary, and if we observe changes in your medical condition, we will contact your provider right away. We will tell you about any changes in your care plan and only change it with your provider's approval.

Also, if at any time you have a question about your care or if you feel your needs aren’t being met, you are encouraged to talk with both your home health team and provider. We are here to meet your needs and want to ensure you are receiving the best care possible.

To discuss how we can help you or a loved one in the comfort of your own home, simply call our office at 304-400-4020 to speak with a member of our team.

As a national We Honor Veterans member agency, Home Health of West Virginia works to understand and meet the special care needs of all our veterans.

As such, we are proud to recognize National Vietnam War Veterans Day today and honor all the men and women who served and sacrificed during one of the longest conflicts in United States history, as well as their families, friends and local communities.

March 29 is the day that the last of the US troops withdrew from Vietnam in 1973.

Approximately 36,578 West Virginians served in the Vietnam War with the state suffering one of the highest per capita casualty rates in the nation and 1,182 of whom were killed in action. Many served as teenagers or in high-risk combat roles, and nine West Virginians received the Medal of Honor.

For more information on how we might be able to help you and a veteran in your life, please call us at 304-400-4020.

Medically fragile patients—such as children with complex conditions or adults requiring specialized nursing—can benefit tremendously from home health services designed to meet their unique needs on their terms where they’re most comfortable.

The ability to receive care in a familiar setting not only supports physical healing but also improves their mental health, alleviating stress from unfamiliar settings and unnecessary travel.

Additionally, home health care offers flexibility—patients can plan visits to fit their schedule and lifestyles, avoiding the rigid routines of institutional care.
For more information about how we can serve your loved one better in the comfort of their own home, please call us at 304-400-4020.

Healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum—it’s influenced by emotional state, stress levels, and the environment. Home health nursing helps patients by reducing anxiety and providing consistent, compassionate care that fosters better outcomes.

Our nurses can develop deeper relationships with patients because they typically care for fewer individuals daily than patients in a hospital. This means more holistic, attentive care that not only addresses medical needs but also emotional and social well-being.

While it might be hard to welcome a stranger into your personal space, our staff takes the time to build relationships by asking questions, listening, and showing empathy. This personal connection helps develop stronger bonds and mutual trust that is the foundation for a supportive and comfortable environment.
