Real Work. Real Impact.

Meet Tori R., RBT

When Tori first started looking into ABA, she admits she didn’t know much about the field. Having a brother with autism made her want to better understand what support and resources were available for families, which eventually led her to becoming an RBT.

Now, she’s found a passion in working with children and helping them grow every day.

One moment she says will always stick with her was watching her first client graduate from ABA services. While it was emotional to say goodbye, it was also the moment she realized just how meaningful this work really is.

“ABA was simply a stepping stone to this kid’s whole future. I love knowing that the work I do helps build a foundation for children’s entire lives.”

Tori says becoming an RBT helped shape her future in ways she never expected. What started as uncertainty turned into a passion for helping children learn, grow, and succeed. She is now pursuing early childhood education and hopes to continue working with young children for years to come.

Her advice for anyone thinking about becoming an RBT?

“Just do it. Don’t let being nervous or inexperienced stop you. You’ll be trained and supported, and you truly have the opportunity to impact lives here.”

We are proud to have Danielle as part of our team at The Developmental Advantage.

The work our staff does each day is about so much more than behavior goals. It is helping children build independence, learn daily living skills, strengthen communication, and gain confidence in everyday life.

Whether it is teaching self care routines, supporting communication through vocal language or AAC, or celebrating progress that may seem small to others, these moments matter.

Thank you, Danielle, for the care, patience, and support you bring to your clients and their families every day.

Meet Heaven

After discovering the field and becoming an RBT, Heaven found a passion for helping others and hopes to continue growing within the field of ABA.

Becoming an RBT has taught her to appreciate and celebrate every milestone. What may seem small to some can be a huge step for others, and being able to witness that progress is one of the most rewarding parts of the job!

Being an RBT is more than a job. It’s the opportunity to make a difference, celebrate growth, and help children build skills that support greater independence.

We’re so proud of Rae for representing our team and, more importantly, for the incredible progress she’s helping her clients make every day

Communication is often the key. Many behaviors are a person trying to get a need met. When we teach a clear, functional way to communicate, things start to change.

That’s what Functional Communication Training is all about. Teaching clients how to ask for what they need in a way that works. When that skill builds, behavior improves and independence grows.

Real Work. Real Impact.

Meet Tara R., RBT at The Developmental Advantage!
Tara had already spent two years working with children when she discovered this opportunity. The moment she walked into the clinic and saw the impact the RBTs were making, she knew she wanted to be part of it.

"You get to see the impact that the work you do is having on a child every single day in real time. Whether they learn a new communication skill or a new way to navigate a social situation, you get to witness that and know you have been a part of making that happen. Those are skills they will carry throughout their lives. And I am proud that I get to be a part of that."
— Tara R., RBT, The Developmental Advantage

Tara will tell you that you do not need to have all the answers before you apply. All you need is love in your heart. You will learn everything else through training, through the kids, through your team, and through the experiences you have every single day.
We are hiring full time RBTs. Paid training provided. We will help you get your RBT certification. Real hands-on experience in early intervention ABA.

Join us in congratulating Megan Sheets on becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

We’ve had the opportunity to watch Megan grow from an RBT to a BCaBA, and now to a BCBA. Each step has reflected her commitment to learning, consistency in her work, and focus on meaningful outcomes for the clients she serves.

We’re glad to have her on our team and excited for what’s ahead.

Reinforcement is one of the most important parts of what we do. In simple terms, reinforcement means that when a behavior is followed by something meaningful to the learner, that behavior is more likely to happen again. It’s how skills stick, grow, and become part of everyday life.

Today we saw that in action. One of our clients made big progress on a goal that has been challenging for them. To celebrate meeting that target, they earned a pretty fun reinforcer, getting to throw water balloons at our COO, Ryan.

Even better, the client wanted the whole clinic to be part of it. Staff and peers came outside or watched from the windows to cheer as each balloon was thrown.

Moments like this matter. When hard work leads to something motivating, it builds momentum and confidence.

No matter our role, we all show up to support our clients and celebrate their wins!

Today is World Autism Awareness Day, and this year's theme is: "Autism and Humanity — Every Life Has Value."

At The Developmental Advantage, this is not just a theme for one day. It is the foundation of everything we do. Every child we work with brings something unique to this world, and our job is to help them build the skills and confidence to show it.

ABA therapy works because it meets people where they are. It does not try to fit someone into a box. It listens, it adapts, and it builds on what each person already has. That is what our BCBAs, BCaBAs, RBTs, and CSED therapists show up to do every single day.

If your family is on this journey, know that you are not alone. We are here.

Happy World Autism Awareness Day to every family, individual, and professional who is part of this community.
