Happy Cancerversary to me!
It’s been one year to the day that I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Her2+ AYA breast cancer at the age of 34.
I did not know what all of that meant at the time.
I did not know what to do first.
Where do I reach out for help? Comfort? Reassurance? A game plan? Information?
In the last year I have wrestled with whether to celebrate the date of diagnosis or the date I was declared N.E.D. aka cancer free.
I have decided I will celebrate both, and I will celebrate all the other milestones too.
I never understood why anyone would celebrate the date of diagnosis until recently.
EVERYTHING changed with one phone call.
My life changed forever that day.
I have taken the last year to beat cancer, raise a toddler son, continue to progress in my career and write a book.
YES! Write a book.
I wrote this book to answer all the questions that popped into my head on September 4th, 2020 and throughout all the treatment I have had. If I can help just one person then I have done what I set out to do.
I wrote this book to show that in the best and worst of times—through diagnosis, treatment, remission and recovery—someone is going through exactly what you are. Possibly even at the same time.
You are not alone.
Presales are live on my website NOW.

Buying the book presale will get you the book a month early and save $5.
You can even order a signed copy, too.
If you thought taking this journey with me on was an adventure, you haven’t seen or read anything yet.
Thank you for being here to laugh, to cry, and all the emotions in between with me over the last year.
Here is to 50 more.
Stay Strong…
Love Lauren
