🌈 Navigating the World of PANDASπŸ’™

Hey incredible community! So part of my journey into the field of Mindset Healing stems from when one my children was diagnosed with PANDAS at age 8. It completely transformed our life. It was a journey filled with lots of tears and lots of sleepless nights, as we were trying to figure out how to help our sweet child. Not knowing the outcome was scary and traumatizing for all 5 of us.
It is because of my beautiful baby that I am who I am today and I could not be more grateful. Something I always tell my children since then is "It Always Works Out." We don't always know how it will and sometimes we want to give up, but don't, because somehow it works out. When you are finally through the messiness of it all, thats when you can see the gifts you've actually been given.
I am happy to say things are much better these days, but that was also 6 years ago. The tics are still around but it's nothing we can't handle together. It's been a long road and I hope this information can help you.
If you want to know more about my programs and the support I can offer just message me or email me at hello@kerriastrid.com visit my site at www.kerriastrid.com

🚦 Recognizing Signs of Difficulty Self-Regulating in Kids πŸŒˆπŸ’™

Hey Moms! Let's chat about those little signals our kiddos might be sending us when it comes to self-regulation. πŸš€πŸ‘§πŸ‘¦

Signs to Watch For:

Overreacting & Frequent Meltdowns: If your child seems to overreact to situations or has frequent meltdowns, it could be a signal that self-regulation needs a bit of extra support. 🀯πŸŒͺ️

Quick Emotional Outbursts: Notice quick, intense emotional reactions? Sometimes, our little ones need help navigating those strong feelings. πŸŽπŸ’”

Long-Lasting Negative Emotions: If negative emotions seem to linger for an extended period and your kiddo feels inconsolable, it might be a red flag. πŸ•°οΈπŸ˜’

Mood Swings: Unexplained shifts in mood or sudden swings might indicate a challenge with emotional regulation. πŸŒ“πŸ˜Ÿ

Transitions Troubles: Difficulty with transitions? It's common, and it's okay! Supporting them through these shifts is key. πŸ”„πŸ›€οΈ

What Can We Do?

πŸ‘‚ Listen & Validate: Be a listening ear and validate their feelings. It's okay to feel, and it's okay to express those emotions.

πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ Mindfulness Moments: Introduce simple mindfulness activities to help them become aware of their emotions and find calm within.

πŸ‘« Create a Safe Space: Establish a safe, cozy space where they can retreat when emotions run high.

🌱 Teach Emotional Vocabulary: Help them identify and express their emotions. Building emotional intelligence is a superpower.

🀝 Professional Support: If needed, seek professional guidance. There's a wealth of support available to help both you and your child navigate this journey.

Hey Moms, ever wonder if your child may be struggling with some anxious feelings. Here are some hints that our little loves might be carrying a bit of anxiety.

Mood Swings: From giggles to tearsβ€”keep an eye on those emotion rollercoasters.

Emotional Distance: If they're a bit more πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ distant emotionally, it might signal some inner struggles.

Avoidance Moves: Watch for πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ avoiding certain thingsβ€”it could be their way of saying "I need support."

Sleepy Surprises: Changes in sleep patterns? 🌜 That could be a sign of worries at bedtime.

Concentration Hurdles: Trouble focusing? It might be a signal of emotional turbulence.

Appetite Rollercoaster: Shifts in eating habits? Their way of expressing emotional ups and downs.

Tears and Tantrums: Unexplained tears or 😑 heightened irritability might be their emotional outlet.

Skipping School Adventures: Consistent school skipping? Let's explore what's really going on.

Irritability Overload: If they seem on edge for a while, there might be some underlying tension.
