Covid check in....
today's feeling resentment
-Do you resent people when they appear to be living life with little struggle?
-Resent the hubby that gets to go to work daily and have adult conversations?
-how about people that don't have kids/financial strain/job security?
Well resentment feels gross at times, but we all have been there.

Tips
-You can always compare up...but balance that with comparing down
-compassion.compassion.compassion
-what does resentment do for you? what is the purpose? does it serve you in any positive way? what happens if you let it go?
-Find something daily that you are grateful for, even if it is small
-get outside, change the scenery, do something different today
-if nothing else works get out of the yoga pants..wear lipstick...and throw in some cookie dough.

Be real...Be calm..Own all feelings...Be Still

Covid Check....
Just read an article stating that SC school's may not open due to Covid rates. Feeling is FEAR

Ideas for dealing with Covid symptom...FEAR

Fear all boils down to control. Feeling out of control, lack of control, feeling as if control has been taken, and not being able to control what is to come...we all have it...we all deal with it in different ways..

-look at control currently in your life, what can you control today?
-Stop reading social media/news it can reinforce how little we feel we control.
-spend some time alone today and meditate on positive vibes/feelings...remind yourself that you are powerful on your own.
-watch children, they don't get wrapped up in the future they only care about what is happening today. we should too
-finally-eat cookie dough...it always works for me

and if nothing else works...Be Still

2. Wanted to run away?

5. Yell despite attempts to be calm?
6. Feel like it’s Groundhog Day?

If you answered yes to any or all. Guess what? it is ok!!!! We are all struggling (not in the same way) and all curious/concerned about what is to come...remember to Be compassionate. Be aware. Be kind....Be still

Feeling like you are on autopilot? You probably are...and that is ok. Your brain is in survival mode. But that does not mean that this time in our lives is not impacting us emotionally. You may not fully feel it for months. So to protect yourself, to stay healthy, to avoid issues.

This is such a strange time. I keep trying to find a more therapeutic word, but I just cant. I will be offering Telehealth services starting Monday. It is normal for anxiety, irritability, and mood issues to increase during a period of so many changes and unknowns. Think about what fills you up, what brings you peace, and do more of that!

Today was such a blessing. Who gets to do yoga at their work??? If you are thinking of trying yoga for the first time, just need some help with meditation, and/or are a pro there is something for everyone @ Be Still counseling’s yoga for connection. Had one of those moments where everything Darcy said was what I needed. Don’t worry there are a few spots left for next week

Do you sometimes have weeks where you feel like you are drowning? Maybe it is work, kids, partners, mood...all of the above? Do you ever feel like you give so much of yourself and are drained by the end of the week. Well if this sounds familiar, it is time to do something for yourself. After a looooong week of various cat issues (don't ask). I cant wait to do Yoga here at Be Still Counseling to re-connect with myself. Grateful for people like Darcy Mahan .com to remind me to Be Still.

I have used Doterra essential oils for years on myself, husband, and kids. Onguard keeps us from getting sick, especially during the colder months. I use peppermint roller daily to wake up and focus, adativ for stress/calming, lavender for sleep. Essential oils are plant based, safe, and worth the money. DO something for yourself and family. Be proactive with health, instead of waiting to get sick...let me know if interested!
