📉 STD Rates Are Dropping — But There's More Work to Do

Recent data shows a decline in reported STDs, a hopeful sign that prevention and care efforts are working. But one area of concern remains: congenital syphilis.

🧠 Congenital syphilis happens when syphilis is passed from parent to baby during pregnancy. It's entirely preventable with early testing and treatment.

🦠 Let’s Talk About Chlamydia
Chlamydia is one of the most common — and most treatable — sexually transmitted infections (STIs). But here’s the catch: most people don’t know they have it.

📊 Over 1.6 million cases were reported in the U.S. last year, with the highest rates among people aged 15–24.
💡 Untreated chlamydia can lead to serious health issues like infertility, pelvic inflammatory disease, and ectopic pregnancy.

✅ The good news?

Chlamydia is curable with antibiotics.
Testing is quick, confidential, and often free.
Prevention is simple: use condoms and get tested regularly.
