Many women carry the weight of painful childhood experiences quietly for years. Emotional neglect, family dysfunction, or growing up in an environment where your needs weren’t fully seen can leave lasting effects.

You are not alone in that experience.

Our Childhood Trauma Recovery Support Group for Women is a welcoming, judgment-free space where millennial women can connect with others who understand what it’s like to navigate healing from early life experiences.

This group is gently guided by a therapist, but it is not therapy.
There is no pressure to share, no expectations, and no requirement to talk. Some people speak, some listen, and everyone moves at their own pace.

The goal is simple:
to create connection, reduce shame, and remind you that you’re not the only one who has walked this path.

Ever notice how when something feels emotionally off… suddenly you become incredibly productive?
The inbox is empty.
The laundry is done.
The closet is organized.
On paper, everything looks handled. But internally something still feels unsettled.
Sometimes productivity isn’t just productivity — it’s a way of avoiding feelings that feel harder to face.
Claire wrote a thoughtful blog about how busyness can become a form of emotional protection and why slowing down to acknowledge what we feel can actually help us move forward with more clarity and energy.
If you’ve ever felt exhausted despite getting a lot done, this one might resonate.

Hard conversations aren’t avoided because we don’t care.
They’re avoided because our nervous systems take over.
When conflict shows up, your body often reacts before your words ever get a chance — leading to shutdown, defensiveness, over-explaining, or saying things you don’t mean.
This week’s blog breaks down why hard conversations feel so overwhelming, how the nervous system drives those reactions, and what actually helps you stay grounded and communicate more clearly — without melting down.
✨ Regulation first. Words second.

Once a relationship becomes committed, attachment shifts from “Will you choose me?” to “Am I safe, seen, and emotionally held here?” That’s often when old wounds, conflict patterns, and anxious–avoidant cycles show up.

In this week’s blog, we explore why these changes happen, how they impact connection, and what it actually looks like to move toward more secure attachment as a couple.

✨ Understanding the pattern is the first step to changing it.

If your life looks “full” on paper but still feels empty or exhausting, it may not be a motivation problem — it may be a values problem.
This week’s blog explores what happens to our mental health when our lives drift out of alignment with who we really are… and how small, intentional shifts can help bring us back.
✨ You don’t need a new to-do list. You may need a realignment.

Ever feel like your reactions seem out of proportion?

Like your body is on high alert EVEN when your mind KNOWS you’re “safe”?

That’s not you being dramatic. That’s your nervous system doing its job — sometimes a little too well!

In our newest blog, we break down:
• Why overwhelm, reactivity, or shutdown are actually protective responses
• How your nervous system can misread the present through the lens of past stress
• What micro-regulation is — and why small, everyday practices matter more than big resets
• Simple, doable ways to support your nervous system in real life (no perfect calm required)

This is about learning to work with your body instead of fighting it.

And doing it with more compassion, not more pressure.

Understanding the Nervous System’s Protective Role Our nervous system plays a vital role in how we move through the world. It helps us respond to our environment, keeps us safe, and supports our ability to connect and function day to day. At times, feeling overwhelmed, reactive, or even shut down

Feeling a little quieter inside now that the holidays are over? ❄️🤍
When life slows down, emotions have more room to surface.

January can be a powerful time to start (or return to) therapy 🧠✨ Not to change who you are — but to understand yourself better and get support.

In this week’s blog, therapist Claire Johnson shares why winter and the new year create space for clarity and healing 💛

Why January Is the Perfect Time to Begin (or Return to) Therapy January often arrives with quiet and calm. The rush settles, routines resume, and emotions that were buried under holiday stress begin to surface. For many people, this makes January the most natural time of year to begin or return to
