Located in Charleston, WV, we are looking for an enthusiastic Optometric Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities:

•Warmly welcome and assist patients both in person and over the phone.
•Maintain open and effective communication with patients, doctors, and the entire team.
•Provide support to the doctor by conducting pre-tests and specialized assessments based on the purpose of the visit.
•Accurate data entry of patient demographics, medical history, and prescription information.
•Exhibit knowledge of our products and services and educate patients on current promotions.
•Handle eyeglass orders efficiently and accurately using computer systems.
•Ensure a clean and organized office environment.
•Contribute to practice growth objectives by delivering outstanding patient care and service.
•Collaborate within a team environment while efficiently managing multiple patient tasks.

Qualifications:

•High school diploma or GED required.
•Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
•Proficiency in computer usage.
•Strong customer service orientation.
•Basic math skills.
•Exceptional attention to detail.
•Maintain a professional appearance.

Position Details:

•Full-time position.
•Workdays: Monday to Friday.
•Competitive hourly pay, commensurate with experience.
•Comprehensive training and education program for professional development.
•Opportunity to obtain national certifications through on-the-job training.
