On Thursday, April 23rd, AIGβs Charleston, West Virginia, office partnered with Exceptional Possibilities of West Virginia, Inc. to adapt toys for exceptional children. ππ
The April 23rd event reflected the dedication and hard work of Amanda Childers-Foster, Casualty Claim Specialist II, and Lindsay Fitzsimmons, Casualty Claim Manager. Together, they led a weeks-long toy drive that collected 180 toys as well as $2,600 in monetary donations. This event would not have been possible without their efforts.
During the event, AIG volunteers learned how to disassemble toys and make modifications, allowing them to be enjoyed by exceptional children. Volunteers also learned more about Exceptional Possibilities of West Virginia and its mission. The adapted toys created during this event will be used for Exceptional Possibilities of West Virginiaβs summer camp and other sponsored activities. In addition to Amanda and Lindsay, the AIG volunteers were Rachel Duncan, Dan Rittenhouse, Leah Elkins, Sara Gifford, Jo Jackson, Hannah King, Kesha Mason, Julia Perdue, Shane Rose, Courtney Spicer, Bree Stewart, and Jenny White.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the toy drive through toy or monetary donations. Their generosity played a key role in the success of this initiative.
