This month's Girls Night Out might have topped them all!
🐴Itty Bitty Therapy - Horses Bringing Happiness, Hope and Healing opened their hearts and their barn doors to the women in our program to experience the joy, relaxation, and gentle connection shared between humans and horses. πŸŽπŸ’™

Today we are celebrating another autumn miracle! πŸ‚ Please join us in congratulating Jackie M. on her successful completion of phase 1 and her transition to phase 2! 🏘 She describes the experience in her own words:

"The most important thing I have learned in recovery is that I have to treat my addiction for the rest of my life," she says. "The most important thing I have gained in recovery is a relationship with my family. Also, I have gained a whole new recovery family! I have graduated phase 1, but I realize how necessary phase 2 is going to be. I still have many areas I need to work on and I am very grateful for the opportunity to continue to grow in a very safe place."

We are grateful as well, for the opportunity to witness true change, growth, and perseverance. Congratulations, Jackie! πŸŽ‰ On to the next chapter! πŸ’™

🌟 A Heartfelt Thank You 🌟
Rea of Hope would like to extend our sincere gratitude to former board member Tony Mazelon for the generous donation of a used van to one of our program graduates.
This gift could not have come at a more meaningful time. The recipient, Jessica G. a dedicated mother who recently completed Phase 1, has just moved into her Phase 2 apartment and is preparing for the joyful reunion with her children. πŸ’•
What makes this moment even more special is the incredible resilience she has shown in the face of recent tragedy. Despite unimaginable loss, she has continued forward with courage, grace, and determination β€” embodying the very spirit of Rea of Hope.
This van will provide her with the independence and stability needed to continue rebuilding her life and caring for her family. We are deeply moved by this act of generosity and reminded of the powerful impact compassion can have on a life in recovery.
From all of us at Rea of Hope, thank you for helping make recovery and reunification possible β€” one family, one act of love, one step at a time. 🚐✨ πŸ’œ

This week, the Rea of Hope Board of Directors came together for an impactful strategic planning session β€” a time dedicated to reflection, visioning, and setting a clear path forward for our mission.

Under the guidance of experienced facilitator Becky King and with the passion of our committed board members, we explored our goals, assessed our challenges, and mapped out strategies to strengthen our support for women in recovery across West Virginia. πŸ’›

We're excited about the future and deeply grateful for the leadership and dedication of our board. With a shared vision and renewed focus, Rea of Hope is more committed than ever to providing hope, healing, and lasting change.

Huge shoutout to Deb Harris Mountain Dough Co. for the AMAZING sweet treats to top off the evening! πŸͺ
And The Catering Ladies as always, for providing an incredible spread for dinner!

Thank you to everyone who makes our mission possible. Stay tuned for more updates as we turn our plans into action!

"My journey with the Rea of Hope has been the best part of my new life," she says. "I've learned how to live without alcohol and drugs for the first time. Building the support of staff and friends has been such a blessing. I've learned to love and respect myself again and I know I couldn't have come this far without them." πŸ’™

Thank you doesn't begin to cover it!! Today, Rea of Hope was awarded $50,000 in residual funds by Judge Jennifer Bailey. Judge Bailey's passion to enrich the lives of women and families in WV cannot be denied. Her work in advancing educational, ethical, recreational and cultural opportunities, to increase social awareness of women's issues and their impact on our great state, has trickled down to those who need it most! Not only has Judge Bailey been a longtime friend and ROH supporter, but she continues to advocate for women, children, and families who have been impacted by the drug epidemic and the disease of addiction. These funds will not only provide support to continue our mission, but will contribute to the reunification of families and the long term success of the women in our program.
