As a person who struggles with seasonal affective disorder, I don’t love winter (even in sunny SC). I came across a quote in a beautiful book - The Salt Stones by Helen Whybrow - that helped me reframe this season. “I have become grateful for this season of integration.” Winter is an opportunity to slow down, reflect, get cozy, and connect in meaningful ways. This is my guiding philosophy this winter. Happy Solstice everyone!
