I’m off to Thailand! ✨
Beginning October 2019 I embark on the next Great Education Adventure of my Life!

I will be teaching English to the children of Thailand as I also learn the holistic arts of the land & its people.
My intention is to incorporate the ancient knowledge into the health programs & videos that i will be offering online.
You too can be a part of this!

Hey everyone! It’s Philosophy Friday! ✨ Hydration is one of the most important things to be educated on to glow inside and out! 🤩 We just wanted to share a couple of videos that you can share with anyone interested in knowing about more about Kangen. It's Beauty Tip Tuesday! 💋

It's summer time! This means that some of us may be getting a little bit too much sun! ☀️

If the aloe moisturizer you're using on your face and body isn't completely organic, it may not be doing the best job (and it's probably cut with other chemicals and unnecessary ingredients!)

Try to go natural, and make a DIY aloe and honey face mask! Aloe works wonders for sunburn and the healing of irritated and dry skin, but it doesn't need to be exclusive for after-sun care. The aloe in this mask helps to counteract the look of aging, while honey can assist with helping heal acne, dark spots, and scars. 🍯

Mix 1/4 cup of Aloe Vera gel (can be from the plant, or an organic store bought gel!) with 1 tablespoon of honey, leave on for 15-20 minutes, rinse off, and feel fresh! 💦

It's Makeup Monday! 🤩

Some of us wear makeup for many hours at a time, almost daily, and it really does matter what we put on our skin, especially for that long!

If you haven't already started to make conscious switches to more natural makeup products, here are a couple of reasons to make the swap! ✨

1. Artificial fragrances 🌹
Artificial fragrances are added to makeup to heighten the appeal, but can cause headaches and even nausea to those easily affected by strong smells, and can trigger allergic reactions. Besides, who needs artificial scents when natural products have yummy-smelling scents from essential oils, herbs, or even fruits!

2. Cruelty-Free 🐣
Most natural products (or at least the ones you should be using) are cruelty-free. Many high end makeup brands are making the switch to cruelty-free, however they may still contain artificial and potentially harmful ingredients that are not sourced ethically in their products. (Cruelty-free makeup means that none of the products were tested on animals, and you'd be surprised that animal testing even still occurs!)

3. Sustainability 🌎
Many natural makeup products are not only made sustainably, but packaged sustainably. Without wasteful packaging, natural makeup companies are already lessening the impact that their production makes. When products are inefficiently manufactured, irresponsible use of chemicals (some toxic) can affect the surrounding environment negatively as well.

So, do your research and read up on ALL of the benefits of switching to more natural products! Natural products can be healing, nourishing, and sustainably made. The planet and your body will thank you! 💛🌿

It's Thursday, meaning it's Ayurveda Thursday! Today's tip is a wellness tip, and all it's just about adding a small piece to your morning routine! ☀️

Ayurveda speaks of drinking warm lemon water daily in the morning to get rid of toxins in the body, with the warm water acting as a "surprise" to your systems, flushing out your body! ✨

Lemon has amazing natural antibacterial and immune-boosting properties, with LOTS of Vitamin C! 🍋 Lemon gets rid of toxins in the body, meaning HELLO clear, beautiful, glowing skin!

All of these extra qualities aside, drinking more water in general will greatly benefit your overall health! Hydration helps your body to THRIVE! Sometimes, we can focus more on simply surviving, rather than thriving! 🤩

What can be better? This tip is cheap, easy, and works wonders! Happy Thursday! Experiment with drinking lemon water this week and let us know what you think! 💛

It's Beauty Tip Tuesday! ✨ Here's an untraditional makeup tip: go a day without it! Obviously, some of us may have to wear makeup for jobs/events. . . but going without it can have major benefits for your skin, as well as your confidence.

Makeup can help us to feel more beautiful, and occasionally even look healthier, but facts are facts. Wearing various products day after day can not only take its toll on your skin, but also your confidence!

In relation to self-esteem, wearing less makeup regularly can actually help with your confidence! Believing that somehow makeup is the only thing that makes you beautiful can make you feel worse without it, and want to wear more of it, but accepting the skin that you're in and showing off your natural glow will make you appreciate yourself with and without makeup much more. ✨🌟☀️

Psychology Today reported about a study where women took off their makeup, and for 10 minutes a day for 2 weeks sat in front of a mirror and looked at their reflection. The only goal during those 10 minutes was to sit and be present with yourself. During this time, the women were told to examine their thoughts, and attempt to let go of any negative thoughts they had about their appearance, and instead look at themselves with thoughts of compassion. After the 2 week study, it was observed that the women felt more compassion for themselves, less stress, and felt less reliant on makeup, all because they had thoughts of love while looking at themselves in their natural state. ❤️
