🌿GROUNDHOG’S DAY BLEND🕳
🤓Fun fact: groundhog’s day has always been my favorite nonsensical holiday. Growing up in the North, by the time February rolled around I was over winter, snow, and cold grey days. I yearned for an early spring. Following the predictions of Punxsutawney Phil gets me every time, and I am happy to announce that this year he did NOT see his shadow! Which means a prediction of early spring🥳!
🌗All silliness aside, this day marks the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. It is a time of flux for all beings, as we begin to emerge from our stagnant hibernation phase, like little seedlings preparing for growth.
☀️This morning I felt inspired to develop a new tea blend in honor of this special time—not quite spring but not quite winter **especially here in the Lowcountry where 40 degree temperature swings are the norm.
🫖Groundhog’s Day house blend features some of the common weeds we see sprouting up before the official start spring. This nourishing infusion of chickweed, cleavers, dandelion, lemon verbena, grapefruit peel and hibiscus helps clear a stagnant lymphatic system—which keeps our immune system strong, our GI tract healthy, and our hormones balanced.
