When it comes to facing breast cancer, Roper St. Francis Healthcare’s own Elizabeth Barnet, program director for senior services, knows firsthand how important it is to have options. Her journey taught her the value of choice, personalized care and speaking up for the treatment that feels right for you.

Read her story in The Post and Courier:

She had an atypical breast cancer diagnosis and chose an aggressive treatment route. Her journey shows the need for patient choice, doctors say.

A Sweet Celebration for Our Nurses 🍰

We’re kicking off our new quarterly nurse recognition program — and adding a little sugar on top!

Thanks to our generous community partners at Nothing Bundt Cakes, our nurses are enjoying delicious Bundtinis as a token of appreciation. A special shoutout to Rick Giecek and Laura Dickey for their sweet support and their contributions to the Roper St. Francis Foundation’s Nursing Scholarship Fund.

Each quarter, one nursing unit from each of our four hospitals will be recognized. For this first round, we’re celebrating the units with the highest percentage of BSN-prepared nurses.

Because our nurses truly take the cake! 💙🩺
