Back in the mid 70's I got involved with a guy in where I eventually had a child from him about 12 years later. We really did not get along, as I was a co-dependent train wreck and he remarried his x-wife and had substance abuse issues. Over time we learned to get along and tolerate each other. I will always give people credit where it is deserved and this guy is an amazing car mechanic. Over the past 10 years I have always taken my car to him, which is the only thing I trust him with. It has been about 5 or 6 years that I had any work done on my car from this person. However last week I had a car issue and was able to call this person. We talked for about 20 minutes and when I hung up the phone, something felt off. He certainly did not sound the same and something inside me did not feel right with him. I called our son and asked him what was wrong with his father, explaining that he just did not sound right.
A couple of nights later it came to me what was off about the conversation I had with my son's father. I realized that he and I were no longer on the same vibrational frequency. Since my spiritual awakening in 2011, the journey has been a long and twisting road with many lessons. Not only was I able to understand that we were running on different vibrational frequencies, but our karmic energy with each other was completely finished. That in itself is a major relief.
But this story gets better. About 53 years ago, I met my best friend in the second grade. When we were about 45, around 2005, we parted ways for reasons I will not go into. She and I had been drinking the Christian kool-aid, however I stopped drinking it, she did not. This morning I saw where a mutual friend of ours met up with her recently and posted some photos. That weird feeling that I had in regards to my son's father came back when I looked at the photo of my old friend. At least this time I was able to immediately recognize what the weird feeling was. Yes, we are no longer running on the same vibrational frequencies. In understanding all of this, I also understand how high my degree of self-love, self-respect and integrity have risen. I am forever grateful for both of these people, the way they helped me release old karmic energy that I no longer want.
