Dr. Suarez explains how colonoscopies do more than detect colon cancer. They help prevent it.

Polyps can develop into cancer over time, but during a colonoscopy they can be removed before that happens.

At Palmetto GI, we focus on safety, precision, and patient comfort. If you are 45 or older or have risk factors, screening is one of the most important steps you can take for your health.

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging screening for Colorectal Cancer, the second deadliest cancer in the United States.

The good news? When caught early, colorectal cancer is highly treatable, and screening can even prevent it by detecting and removing precancerous polyps.

If you’re 45 or older, or have a family history, talk to your provider about getting screened. It could save your life.

Early detection matters. Don’t wait, schedule your screening today. 💙
