Happy Samhain, my loves! 🍂🖤

As the veil thins tonight, I hope you feel the magic in your bones, the presence of your ancestors, and the quiet invitation to slow down and turn inward.

This is the witch’s New Year. It’s a time to release what no longer serves and welcome the wisdom of the dark.

Here’s something most people don’t know about Samhain:
Here’s something special you might not have heard: in Wales the festival is called Calan Gaeaf (1 November marks the first day of winter) and the eve of it, Nos Galan Gaeaf, was considered a true “spirit night” when the veil between worlds leans thin.

It’s a great night to drum and dance around a bonfire! 🔥

And that story shaped centuries of silence.
But the witches remember…she was never the curse, she was the catalyst.

We’re moving deeper into Samhain’s magick. This is that sacred in-between where the spirit realm, the ancestors, and the Earth all whisper in unison.

✨ Day 5 — Connect with the Spirit Realm The veil is thin. Let your divination tools speak — tarot, pendulum, flame, or water.

🌿 Day 6 — Offerings to the Earth Give thanks to the land, the fae, the unseen. Apples, bread, honey — simple gifts of reciprocity.

🥖 Day 7 — Ancestor Feast Set a place at your table. Tell their stories. The dead live on in remembrance.

🕯️ Day 8 — Candle Magick for Transformation Light your intention and watch it flicker to life. Each flame is a prayer for renewal.

💭 Day 9 — Divination & Dream Work The night speaks — listen. Record your dreams, symbols, and sensations.

🔥 Day 10 — Release Ritual Write what no longer serves you and set it free in smoke. Let the fire carry your name reborn.

Samhain is the portal. It’s a threshold between endings and beginnings, shadow and light, life and the afterlife. Walk it slowly. Walk it sacredly.

🌑 Day 1 of 13 Days of Samhain: Cleanse & Clear

As we begin our journey into the thinning veil, today’s focus is simple yet sacred — cleanse and clear.

We are in the phase of the dark moon, with the new moon coming in on Tuesday, which makes this the most opportune time for releasing.

This is your energetic reset.
✨ Sweep out stagnant energy.
✨ Light smoke from rosemary, cedar, or mugwort.
✨ Ring a bell in each corner.
✨ Open your windows and invite fresh air to flow through.

As you cleanse, whisper a blessing:

“I release the old. I welcome the magick of new beginnings.”

The energy you clear today creates space for spirit connection and renewal in the days to come.

Water holds memory. Water holds love. Water cleanses, purifies, flows, and always finds a way. The water we drink may have passed through our ancestors or may have at one point been a drop in the ocean. Water is magick.

Connecting with the elements is an important part of my witchcraft practice and water was the first element I had to connect with during priestess trainings.

If you are needing some nourishing energy or a deep release, consider working with the Element of Water.

Some ways you may want to connect to water:
💧 Whisper your worries or fears to moving water and feel them flow from you.
💧 Draw sigils or a pentagram over your water or tea before drinking. For example, if you want to invoke abundance, draw the rune of abundance, Fehu.
💧Stand in the shower and imagine water washing away any energy that you no longer want or need down the drain. Then imagine the unconditional love that is inside the element of water to surround you with white or blue light.
💧 Go to a body of water and simply bask in it’s energy.

Water is transformative. Water is life. What will you do to honor this vital source?

My Story

Back when I was a child, 4-8 years old, I started communicating with nature and angels. I would sit with the trees and could literally feel their energy pulsating. Trees that had been cut or their energy felt off, I would sit with and place my hands upon them to send “healing light,” as I would refer to it. I also loved being alone and have vivid images of sitting in my bedroom or my closet with my eyes closed meditating(although I have no idea what I called it at the time, it just felt right) and seeing images of ideas and beliefs I still connect with to this day. I also connected with and spoke to angels and faeries as a young child (and still do).

I found yoga when I was a pr***en via a close friend’s family. They were unitarian universalists and very “hippy” but I absolutely loved that about them. I remember being in the basement of their ranch-style home practicing yoga on large exercise balls. I felt happy and free and just so connected. Their home felt so ahead of the times.

As I grew up and suffered my own bought with seizures, I turned to Kundalini yoga and my own spiritual practices. I am now 8+ years seizure free.

When I was ready for a lover, I called upon my own spiritual practices and-- there he was.
