We started the 2025-2026 school year off with a partnership between residents and local schools. Finding ways to give back allows us to invest in future generations and pass on generational knowledge that builds bridges across the age gaps.

We’re celebrating Kenny, a beloved junior server at Holiday Country Squire. Since joining the team at sixteen, Kenny has brought energy, kindness and a fun spirit to every shift.

When asked about his favorite part of the job, Kenny didn’t hesitate: “The residents – they are all so sweet.” One of his most meaningful memories was singing for them with his school choir last December.

"There’s a young man that’s going to succeed," shares Barb, a resident. "He’s already shown his love for others. The future needs more like him."

Kenny dreams of becoming a musician, learning piano, owning a home and traveling to Sicily. We’re so proud of him and can’t wait to see what he does next!

Cupid’s arrow struck Joan and Karl 69 years ago and it’s been love ever since! Recently, the happy couple celebrated their 67th anniversary at Holiday Essex House.

Joan worked for Karl’s dad before she and Karl met. One evening, Karl’s dad hosted a party and invited Joan. She arrived alone and needed a ride home – Karl offered, and as they now say, “We haven’t been apart since!”

📚🎉 Library Celebration at Holiday Regent! 🥂🍰

What a wonderful day we had celebrating our library here at Regent Senior Living! 💙 Residents gathered to toast the hard work and heart that made this beautiful space possible—with champagne in hand and smiles all around.

The room was filled with laughter, conversation, and of course... ice cream cake! 🍰🍦 A perfect way to mark this exciting new chapter in our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring our library to life; especially our lovely Library volunteers, Susan Christie, Rae Jean Schlimgen, and Linda Clevering. Without them, our library would not be what it is today. "I don’t have any secret," laughs Marlin, an easy-going resident at Holiday Thornton Place who recently celebrated his birthday with a party in the community. "I just go along with whatever’s happening."

We had a barking good time at our Whiskers & Wags Social Series event.

Residents, guests and their furry friends gathered for a fun-filled event featuring pet friendly snacks, prizes and goodie bags!

Our community has earned the coveted Atria Senior Living Q Award, an award given to communities with Quality Enhancement scores of at least 90%. This is an exciting achievement for our team here, and I hope you’ll join me in congratulating every member of our staff.

Atria’s Quality Enhancement program consists of biannual, unannounced internal reviews of more than 400 indicators that examine all facets of the community. All areas, ranging from culinary services to cleanliness of bathrooms and activity programming, are assessed by independent Quality Enhancement Directors, a team with more than 200 years of combined experience leading senior living communities.

The Q Award is an accomplishment we’re immensely proud of. I cannot thank our hardworking staff enough for the work they do to make our community shine, in many cases literally, for all of our residents. Our community is special, and that’s due in large part to their efforts. It’s also due to the residents who call The Regent home, and I hope you’ll all join me in being proud to be a part of this community.
