Hello all! I recently had a conversation with someone, and they said that a former boss of theirs made fun of a co-worker for keeping little sticky notes with positive affirmations written on them underneath her keyboard. Is that something that should be mocked? I have known plenty of therapists and they all have agreed that daily affirmations can have a positive impact on people and their way of thinking. Some may see it as trivial and insignificant, but I know it to be better framed as self-care. If it helps someone reinforce positivity within themselves, then why make that a derogatory thing? It's sad when someone in a higher position feels the need to mock and tell others, to make themselves feel superior. Check the science:
