Tropical Storm Debby Update: Atlantic Respiratory Services' offices will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, August 7th, but we will be conducting business remotely. Team members will be available by phone and email during regular business hours from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

⌚️Every two minutes, someone in the U.S. is told they have lung cancer.

Today, on World Lung Cancer Day, we honor the courage of our LUNG FORCE Heroes, and we are grateful for the ongoing research efforts that strive to improve the lives of those diagnosed with lung cancer. Among these remarkable individuals is our cherished friend, LUNG FORCE Hero, and Run/Walk Cabinet member, Anna Holloway. In late 2020, Anna was diagnosed with lung cancer.

“I was a healthy 40-year-old, had just completed a shetris, which is a women's mini-triathlon months before. I was having an unexplained stomach pain and after multiple appointments and doctors really listening to me, my lung cancer was found by chance with an abdominal scan. I never smoked and was very active. I was in shock. I completed chemo in July 2021 and the LUNG FORCE Run/Walk was in November. Participating in the walk was an emotional and inspirational experience.

Being on the other end now, I realize that without my doctors and nurses being so proactive and listening to my persistence, cancer would still be sitting in there just waiting. I volunteer with the Lung Association to support those with a lung cancer diagnosis by providing hope and help to raise critical funding for lung health advocacy, education and research.”
