The pinning ceremony for 113 nursing alumni took place tonight, bringing together family and friends to celebrate this remarkable achievement. As these new graduates prepare to enter the workforce, they are well-prepared to provide exceptional care that is both safe and compassionate, reflecting the highest standards of the nursing profession.

Tonight, we will witness something truly special. Ou newest nursing alumni will recite the Nurses’ Creed for the very first time. Every word they speak will carry hope, purpose, and the promise of compassionate care.

What will make the moment even more meaningful is hearing the seasoned nurses in the audience join them—some with decades of service— faculty instructors, chief nursing officers, and fellow nurses from across the Lowcountry. Their eyes reflecting pride, memory, and the unbreakable bond shared by all who have chosen this calling. In that moment, past, present, and future nurses stand connected. ❤️

The class of December 2025 completed their pinning practice this afternoon in preparation for the pinning ceremony tomorrow night! This is one of the most exciting times of their lives as they have reached the pinnacle of their goal! Congratulations to all our graduates! It’s time to celebrate!

Abigail Green, RN, Nurse Educator, and Barbara James, RN, Wound Care Nurse at White Oak Manor, were awarded the SNAP Award for their welcoming nature and going above and beyond to help students learn how to become exceptional nurses. Thank you!

The Village of Summerville had two SNAP Award winners today!

Leslie Middleton,CNA was nominated for her kindness, work ethic and ability to make the students feel competent in their abilities. Students said she is always willing to help, caring of the patients, open to questions, and very professional!

Brittany Oehring, RN is a TTC alumni and currently works as the wound care nurse at the Village in Summerville. Students nominated her for her willingness to allow them to follow her, share her knowledge and answer their many questions. All students that rotated with her commented on her caring nature, and knowledge!

Thank you both for your dedication in developing the future of nursing!

Meredith Thomas, RN, was honored with a SNAP Award by our students for her commitment to mentoring the next generation of nurses at Roper Downtown's 6 South. Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to show our students how to be an amazing nurse!

Mrs. Debra Leach has been a faculty instructor since 2013. Today is her last day as she enters into retirement. Congratulations Debra on a job well done! Thank you for assisting our nursing students to achieve their goal in becoming a nurse!
