💙 It warms our hearts to see our alumni help those following in their footsteps -- whether it's through mentorship, sharing inspirational stories or even financial support.

The MUSC College of Nursing () celebrated all three during their recent Scholars & Benefactor Celebration, where scholarship students met with the donors -- many of whom are MUSC alums -- who helped make those scholarships possible.

Thanks for the inspiration, support and reminding us how gratifying it is to give back.

Behind every ✨breakthrough is someone who makes it possible.💙

Meet Matt Prisby, a fundraiser and donor whose dedication to honoring his late wife, Sheryl, has helped launch two clinical trials for gynecologic cancers at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center.

Matt’s efforts are helping ensure other families facing ovarian cancer have new options.🙌

At MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, researchers are testing a promising new drug that attacks head and neck cancers by cutting off their energy supply. 🔋

Unlike chemotherapy or radiation, this approach leaves healthy cells mostly untouched — offering hope for safer, more effective treatments in the future.

💡 Did you know this kind of cancer research is happening right here at Hollings? If you’re passionate about advancing cancer research, supporting Hollings helps bring these kinds of breakthroughs to patients and families in South Carolina. 💙 https://buff.ly/IzxnzHM

Behind every Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) scholarship is a donor who believes in the future of health care. 💙

At the MUSC College of Pharmacy Scholars & Benefactors Luncheon, we celebrated the generosity that makes it possible for students to pursue their calling, and for South Carolina communities to gain the pharmacists and health leaders they need.

Thank you for investing in your community through these students. 🫶

Bodhi McConnell was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma at just 5 months old.

Today, at seven years cancer-free, he’s busy fishing, hitting the beach and cheering for Clemson football. 🏖️🏈

The McConnells turned their gratitude for MUSC Children’s Health into action to support the groundbreaking work of Bodhi’s doctor, Dr. Jacqueline Kraveka.

Through The McConnell Foundation and their annual Shining Stars Gala, they’ve contributed nearly $175,000 to Dr. Kraveka’s research, including studies that led to FDA approval of a new neuroblastoma drug.

Thank you, McConnell family!

At the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), research isn’t just something we do: It’s who we are. From lab bench to bedside, our discoveries push the limits of what’s possible in health care.

Like Dr. Leonardo Ferreira’s latest work: creating a new kind of immune cell that could prevent organ rejection without weakening the whole immune system. It’s a huge leap forward for transplant patients today and for those who need safer, longer-lasting options in the future. Details ➡️https://buff.ly/msAy1cc

And it's just one of many innovations shaping the future of care here. 💙

Brent Tabor rides in LOWVELO to honor his father, Ed — and to fuel breakthroughs that give families more time together. 💙 LOWVELO funding helped bring CAR-T cell therapy in-house at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, speeding access to this life-saving treatment.

This year, Brent’s family and his company, are riding to keep that progress going.

MUSC Health has been ranked the #1 hospital in South Carolina for the 11th year in a row — and that recognition reflects not just our team, but our community.

🏆 Every award-winning treatment, breakthrough or high-performing program has something in common: Supporters who believed it could be done.

💙 To our donors: Your generosity strengthens our people, spaces and discoveries.

📍 You’ve helped build a statewide health system that delivers excellence where it’s needed most. Thank you for all you make possible.

The latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report show MUSC Health is thriving in its original location and building on that success in other locations.
