As a child, Riley Klim spent years receiving care at the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. Today, he works in the emergency department, caring for children and families during some of their hardest moments.

His journey from MUSC Children’s Health patient to caregiver reflects the lasting impact of compassionate pediatric care, made possible by a community that believes in children, caregivers and what’s possible when care goes beyond today.

As we reflect on 2025, we’re deeply grateful for the vision and belief of those who invest in the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). 🤍

This year marked a historic milestone: a $50 million anonymous gift – the largest in our 200-year history – helping move forward a new MUSC College of Medicine building designed to train more physicians, strengthen medical education and expand access to care across South Carolina.

Because of this generosity, MUSC is better positioned to educate future doctors, support discovery and meet the state’s growing health care needs.

Stroke care is a race against the clock. ⏱️ By bringing imaging, diagnosis and intervention into one space, the BAT Cave will help more people return home to their families with fuller recoveries. 💙
