For this Father’s Day, we wanted to take some time to recognize men’s health month and speak about the ways men can improve their cardiovascular health.
Many risk factors for heart disease can be reduced through lifestyle changes. Getting at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week, eating healthier, and reducing use of to***co and alcohol can all significantly improve your heart health.
Stress is also a major contributor to cardiac risk factors - whether you’re worried about your family, unhappy at a job, or prone to anxiety. Men’s mental health is a growing topic, but it is still stigmatized in many communities. Getting proper care for your mental wellbeing is important for your overall health!
It’s a good idea to speak to a healthcare professional about any concerns you may have regarding your physical or mental health, so you can make steps toward a healthier, happier life 💪
