Yoga With Joe Classes and Information of Charleson Yoga Teacher Joe Vinciguerra

Joe Vinciguerra is a passionate truth seeker and a lover of yoga, learning, technology, blogging, biking and Italian culture. A native of New York, Joe’s journey on the mat began in 2012, taking his first yoga class in Manhattan, NY. Joe quickly discovered the benefits of mind and body connection, and took his own practice to different yoga studios around the city and down the east coast of the states. He studied with numerous instructors including Tao-Porchon-Lynch, who at 96 years old has over 70 years of teaching experience and is recognized as the world’s oldest yoga instructor. After becoming more interested in the ancient philosophical path of yoga, Joe found himself on a plane to India, the birthplace of yoga just two years after his first class. Looking to deepen his practice and knowledge of yoga his journey led him to Dharamshala, where he studied the yoga asanas, meditation, philosophy, pranayama, anatomy, teaching methods and received his 200 hours level training. Joe is also a licensed Broga Yoga Instructor after completing his training in Brooklyn, NY and also holds a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in New Media from SUNY Purchase College. In August 2014 Joe moved to Charleston, SC and immediately became involved in the yoga community there. Joe thrives on instructing students of all levels and ages and is devoted to expanding his mind, knowledge and experience through the practice of yoga.

So much has changed in the last month since having heart failure. Things look and feel different lugging around this medicine bag and wearing a defriblerator whereever I go, but I have the prayers and thoughts of so many that keep me going each day. Please continue your prayers!

After 17 days in the hospital, 11 of which were in the ICU, I was released Monday. The road to recovery is still a long one ahead. Due to a genetic condition, I very suddenly and unexpectedly went into heart failure. The doctors have been able to get me stable enough to go home with medication, but unfortunately one of those medicines my heart needs, can only be delivered through IV so while I am out of the hospital I still will not be teaching yoga for some time. I am so grateful to all of my loyal students, some of whom have been taking classes with me for close to a decade, for all of the love and support and prayers you’ve provided me and my family during this time. I am so grateful for my wife Erin and my family for all care, help and love through this either process.
I am not sure yet when I will be back to teaching, but I look forward to seeing you all on the mat one day. Namaste 🙏🏼

Happy New Year! I hope 2025 brings everybody lots of joy, yoga and fun filled memories! Today we visited the Rockefeller Christmas tree for our 21st annual photo. Just like yoga as a long traditional practice this tradition around the holidays we hold near and dear. We had a wonderful time in NY this week, Patrick even got to see and play in some snow. We are ready to head back to our home and in SC and jump back into routine. Classes staring back on Saturday

Check it out! If anyone in Charleston has a copy of this from August 22nd I’d love to have one.

We are gardeners diving into the wonderful world of gardening.

It’s been a calming and fulfilling experience to connect with nature in this way with Patrick.
Inspired by my dad’s green thumb and the beautiful gardens he tended to, I wanted to follow in his footsteps and expand my home garden this year. I was surprised how much of an impact gardening had on my mental health.

Just like in yoga, gardening teaches patience, mindfulness, and the beauty of growth and transformation. I find so much peace and joy in watching the garden thrive and bloom, just as I do when guiding through yoga practice.

I can't wait to see where this journey takes me and to share my love for both yoga and gardening with all of you. Heres to cultivating strength, balance, and beauty in all aspects of our lives and embracing a new passions.

Namaste and happy gardening! 🙏 🪴

Nonprofit Big Green hit it big in the Charleston area since handing out 250 home garden kits at Charleston County libraries to encourage food sustainability.

Celebrating a decade of being a yoga teacher!

It’s been 10 years since I embarked on my life-changing journey to India for my yoga teacher training! The sights, sounds, and teachings of that magical place continue to inspire me every day.

Grateful for the incredible experiences, the wonderful people I met along the way, and the deep wisdom that has enriched my practice and my life. Here’s to a decade of growth, self-discovery, and connection.

Thank you to my teachers, mentors, students, and fellow yogis for sharing this path with me. Let’s continue to spread love, light, and mindfulness through our practice and beyond.

Happy New Year to all of you and to all my students! Wishing you all a year of good health, joy, happiness and love! Every year has some amazing magical moments along with some challenges. I think you can’t have one without the other. In November, I lost my ultimate teacher, my best friend and the man I learned so much wisdom from, my father Vito Vinciguerra. He taught me and always told me to “enjoy life” and that “life is short”. He also was an avid gardener and loved being outside with his plants and vegetables. He got things done early in morning and usually by 9am had completed numerous chores he needed to do with joy, and always with a smile. I hope one day to be close to his greatness and wisdom. This year I hope to share more yoga events, projects, and videos that I’m working on, and to see you all on the mat in 2024! All the love and happiness!
